New Song: Jennifer Lopez – Do It Well

Published: Wednesday 8th Aug 2007 by Sam
It seems there may be some hope for Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming ‘Brave’ album. Upon hearing the CD’s first single ‘Hold It, Don’t Drop It’, like many, I wasn’t feeling it all that much. In a odd, but necessary move, Lopez will drop another single ‘Do It Well’ simultaneously. Evidently geared more toward the Urban market, the Ryan ‘Alias’ Tedder produced track is great and may just be what J.Lo needs to hit the top again.

Hit or Miss?

I agree with what’s his name. What does everybody expect from J.Lo. For her to call herself J.Lo again and do that whole album all over again? Naw, that’s not going to happen but if you want a good dance album that’s going to leave you listening for more than she will provide that. Besides she’s going to be half naked in the video anyway, like she always is. Serious, can this woman be anymore original?

wow. another disposable Jennifer Lopez song. And i REALLY thought it couldn’t get any worse than REBIRTH.

I actually think “Hold it, don’t drop it” is a much better song. It grows on me the more I hear it and it has more impact than this “Do it well” s***.

Her voice isn’t suited to these kind of songs. Well…it’s not really suited to anything! But these kind of tracks where the beat has to be ridden really fast don’t suit her. She sounds like an Indian with a really strong accent. Only Beyonce can pull these kinda joints off, because she can mask the simple beats with vocal runs and hot harmonies.

STOP HATING ON HER… NO NEED TO COMPARE TO BEYONCE 2 DIFFRENT VOCALS… AND THIS TRACK IS HOT ..DONT LET IT SMACK YA IN THE a** WHEN U SEE IT ON TOP…

i agree with tammy, some people are expectin so much from her,she is doing her absolute best to provide us with music we can dance too,its just a matter of have different likes.personally she has it made and made a name for herself as an icon of her originality she gives to us.i think she sticks to what her vocals can reach too.sure she isnt mariah or beyonce or wutver, but she is j.lo and thats not going to change.
