Leona Lewis – ‘Bleeding Love’ Video (US Version)

Published: Wednesday 30th Jan 2008 by Sam

The US version of the video for Leona Lewis’ single ‘Bleeding Love’ debuted today on Yahoo Music. Director Jesse Terrero shot the video in New York City back in December last year. Although Leona is looking on-point in the clip, I must say that I prefer the original video , it had more everything – from the concept to the performance to capturing the essence of the song. Still, I’m sure poised for much success in the States. ‘Spirit’, Leona’s multi-Platinum debut album, is set to hit stores in the US on April 8th.

What do you think of the video?

i agree, i expected it to be way better than this, the original video is better, but i still like the song, i’m sure it will be a success and everyone will compare her to mariah or christina, but she is not in there league….but she is a cute girl and she has a great voice

Beautiful song nice voice..it will make an impact in the states but not as big as people are going to expect. I think she is a strange lookin but sort of beautiful gurl..maybe its the strong facial features or makeup…well ne ways…good job video seem like reject clips from “MYBOO” without alicia keys and usher

I like this video. It’s simple, stylish, sophisticated and subduable, just like the song. This video is absoultely enough to make me fall in love with her.

This is my first time seeing the video and hearing Bleeding Love (and hearing Leona’s voice.) She has a very, very beautiful voice (almost like Toni Braxton mixed with Mariah Carey.) She’s also a gorgeous woman; I don’t know if it’s just make-up, hair styling and lighting, but whatever it is I thank God for it…lol

Leona Lewis…definitely someone I’ll be looking out for in 2008!

You’re right Sam the original was a million times better than this, I felt so much emotion from the song and that video equates the emotion of the song completely. I felt that video was very english despite being shot in LA though, I dunno if it was just the apartments looked like the interior of a London flat but I thought it was shot in England for a while.

This video is so americanized, dunno if that will necessarily make it appeal more to the american market but I hope it brings her more success over there. If it doesn’t it’ll just prove that the US, as with Kelly Rowland, don’t know real talent when they see it!

I wish her well, she’s awesome!

HAHHAHAH at Americans NOT knowing REAL talent hahahhah whatever anywho…great voice but poor song good message in it tho…but its not a strong enough song to even get noticed..it has too much of a early 90s feel…and the video is boring..and the first is boring i just think BAD song altogether …
