It would appear Janet Jackson’s stalled ‘Discipline’ project is set to be given a renewed lease of life. There are murmurings that this remix of album cut (and supposed new single) ‘Can’t Be Good’, courtesy of Jamaican star Red Rat, will feature on a re-packaged version of the LP.About the track…hmm…it’s ok, I guess. Considering I’m not at all a big fan of the original, it’s hardly surprising that this doesn’t really move me. If there is truth to the talk of re-release, I say drop a completely new/unheard cut, followed by what the masses seem to be liking most – ‘LUV’ and/or ‘2Nite’. Though, by no means a masterpiece, ‘Discipline’ does have a lot of ‘hit single’ potential; potential that if wasted would be real unfortunate.

I have to agree with the previous comment besides TRL GMA & 106 & park there has not been no promotion for the album which is surprising for Janet because usually sick or not she for the most part picks things up and moves along with getting her project out there and making it a success. Hopefully with the re release & tour she can get things back on track.

After 10 weeks, Discipline has only sold 378,000 copies. The album isn’t even gold yet. How horrible for Janet and her recording career.
As much as I love me some JJ, um…I think she needs to sit down somewhere . I feel like she’s tarnishing her legacy by releasing these half-baked albums, Discipline, Damita Jo, and 20 Y.O. This remix isn’t going to do anything for the album, nor is a re-release.
I mean, let’s think about it, not to say one is better than the other, but Britney’s lame, no promoting ass sold more than Janet 1st week, and is actually close to selling platinum, while Discipline might sell gold. I don’t know…

The remix is WAY better than the orginal. But I’m sorry to say. I’m a HUGE fan of Janet’s music, and I say that because I don’t collect posters and all that just the music. But I was very dissappointed with this album. It just flat out sucked. I don’t think that she doesn’t have it anymore, I mean you just dont sell 10 million every time.
