Hot 100: Taylor Swift’s ‘Anti-Hero’ Holds #1 For Second Week / Rihanna’s ‘Lift Me Up’ Debuts at #2

Published: Tuesday 8th Nov 2022 by Rashad

Taylor Swift‘s ‘Anti-Hero’ saves her current streak atop the Billboard Hot 100 for yet another week despite some stiff competition.

Details inside.

For the second consecutive week Taylor is holding tight to the summit of the Hot 100 thanks to her ‘Midnights‘ single ‘Anti-Hero.’

As reported here, the song led nine other tracks from the album to occupy the entire top 10 last week (to historic measure).  This week, although facing a formidable threat from ‘Lift Me Up’ (the highly anticipated comeback single of Pop diva Rihanna) – ‘Anti-Hero’ still soared.

Here are the numbers that powered its stay.

  • Streaming: 35.6 million U.S.-based streams
  • Digital Downloads: 17,000 sold
  • Radio Airplay: 37.6 million audience impressions

Fulfilling industry analyst predictions, Swift was able to keep Rih at bay despite the Bajan beauty’s return wrecking radio records.  Entering at #2, ‘Lift’ – the first single from the official ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack – enjoyed an impressive first week commercial performance thanks to 48.1 million in radio audience impressions, 26.2 million streams, and 23,000 downloads sold.

Its runner-up opening was nothing short of historic as well as it not only came as the 32nd top 10 hit of her career (the fifth highest count of all time among all artists), but it also marks her 24th top 5 hit.  The latter achievement interestingly ties her with Swift and Pop Queen Janet Jackson in third place for the most top 5 hits of all time (among females). Only Madonna (28) and Mariah Carey (27) have more.

Just as impressive, the #2 arrival marks a personal milestone for Rih as her highest solo premiere on the tally to date.

Rihanna literally ticks all the boxes necessary to be crowned Queen. The success of this track has indeed shut the mouths of naysayers

    • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

Yet she paid for the “success” of this track and is still #2 behind Taylor, showing who the real Queen is, which should indeed shut the mouths of naysayers 💋

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

She made it #2 with just a soundtrack lmaoo. Being queen is not only about music. Beauty and wealth count too dumbfuck

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

The post is about music. Stop deflecting.

Although Rihanna’s saggy jaw isn’t exactly the epitome of beauty. She’s let herself go.

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

My comment was about being Queen. She still looks better than Taylor and has something to shake

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

And most people including you here were saying its going to flop

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

Taylor is the Queen when it comes to music.

Rihanna is only the Queen where wealth is concerned. Seeing as wealth is all you can bring up to deflect. Doesn’t change the fact that Taylor is still #1, literally and figuratively, making her the true Queen.

Also, Lift Me Up only “didn’t flop” because of those paid for radio adds. So it did flop, judging by the general public’s disinterest.

        💋💋💋

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

Rihanna has everything Taylor lacks. Successful musically, beauty wealth and so on. Hence Queen status thats my point

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

Its #2 on billboard and climbing and according to you its a flop and only radio pay? Thats logical.

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

Taylor is Queen. That is all.

      • Navy Gravy (Messy Bardi Gangsta) November 8, 2022

Folks behind the film paid, NOT RIHANNA. 23K downloads, 26 MILLION streams says a lot about the ppls “disinterest”. All without Taylor’s WHYTE PRIVILEGE. Even Taylor knows Rihanna is THE Queen, girl SIT THE FXCK DOWN, you sound slow. “Rihanna is only Queen where wealth is concerned?”…..
Where do you think that wealth comes from? Her level of influence, marketability, her star power, her ACCOLADES. Taylor is only selling records, half of that is out of pity for her poor business decisions (master recordings, anyone?) She’s learning from the Queen as well

      • Fancy BISH (Back To The Future 🤣) 👊🏽💎💋 November 8, 2022

Black people don’t have any privileges because nobody cares about them and they haven’t earned it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    • Ming Ming November 8, 2022

  6. Ming Ming November 8, 2022

        This!

    • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

The skinny rat also cheated with paid ads, free food and releasing 20 versions. But shes being challenged by just a soundtrack from the real Queen. LMAOO!

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

4 different cover variations which the public still had a choice to buy or not buy, showing just how much the general public is interested in Taylor.

Rihanna paid for radio play, which the general public have no say in, showing just how much the general public is disinterested in Lift Me Up.

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

Being at #2 on billboard is not only due to radio play. Do some research

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

Mostly due to radio play. Especially as Billboard just changed the rules last week for radio to hold more weight on the chart than streams. You don’t understand our charts as you’re in France. Do your research.

After paying for radio and having Billboard change the rules for radio to hold more weight on the chart than streams, Rihanna STILL didn’t beat Taylor.

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

Why do you care about our charts so much? Is France really that boring? You are simply Eurotrash.

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

I live and work in 4 countries USA included b**** and as far as im concered America belongs to the natives so dont say “our country” lmaoo

  7. Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

I’m glad she knows her place as #2 behind Taylor.

    • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

She was also second pick for the Super Bowl after Taylor, and only got it because Taylor turned it down.

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

Everyone is anxious to watch the beautiful and wealthy Queen sing her classics at the SB

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

Sing? Even her biggest fans admit she can’t sing.

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

So, you mean she raps? Are you on cheap drugs?? Lol

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

        She cannot sing.

      • Tongue’Fcukk November 8, 2022

        Ya. She’s a rapper

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

        No, she cannot sing.

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

Jennifer Lopez can’t sing, does that make her a rapper? Dumbass.

      • Ijs November 8, 2022

Rihanna sings better then Taylor so..😂😂😂

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 November 8, 2022

Neither are fantastic singers but Taylor can perform live, Rihanna can’t.

  8. UHoesFunny November 8, 2022

Congrats to these Queens, the two that the industry needs. Excited for music next year in 2023! The older girlies are about to bring it and show the children how it’s done

  9. UHoesFunny November 8, 2022
