Bow Wow To Retire?

Bow Wow To Retire? In a recent interview with MTV, Bow Wow spoke about possibility retiring from the rap game in the near-future:

“I wanna be the next Will Smith,” the 21-year-old recently said, restating his growing passion for acting while sitting poolside at L.A.’s Le Montrose Suite Hotel. “After the eighth album, I’m done. I already feel it. I love acting. I love my music like I said, but I feel it. After this one, probably one more in me and that’s eight. Like, I’m one [album] behind Nas, and that’s crazy.”

LP number seven comes out later this year. It’s called The Pedigree.

Reading this, you’d think he’d sold albums by the truckload or was held in any kind of critical regard. Unfortunately for Shad, none of these apply lol. I’m guessing it’s more the fact that next to no one is checking for him on the music tip anymore, so acting is his new ‘passion’. That said, I can’t down him on this one; get in where you fit in, I say.

Any thoughts?

He’ll never be the next anyone, maybe the next Vern Troyer….dude too short to be a “Will Smith” and too scrawny….I think people should accept his limitations he wanted to be a b’baller at 3″11″ wasn’t gonna work, we wanted to rap but he’s played now he wants to act and pretend like we gonna be somebody’s box office pull…don’t think so, he needs to just step out of the lime light and take his ass to school or something before we see him in amateur p***.

Pussycat Dolls are in KL, Malaysia

It’s only days before the MTV Asia Awards, and the first of the many international acts have already landed in town. Today, the Pussycat Dolls previewed a few tracks from their upcoming album Dolls Domination (set to release on September 15) at their South East Asian press conference.

The lead single off Dolls Domination, ‘When I Grow Up’ (produced by Rodney Jerkins), is already making waves on the charts, making it the Pussycat Dolls’ fourth top ten single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Among the producers they worked with on the album are Cee-Lo, Scott Storch, Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic), Darkchild and of course, Timbaland. Besides the lead single, other tracks include ‘Away’, ‘Barely Breathe’, ‘Bottle Pop’, ‘Fly The World’, ‘If I Were A Man’, ‘In Person’ and ‘Psycho’. Look out for a faux Brit accent on the track ‘Watchamacallit’ (sp?).

At the press conference Nicole, Ashley, Melody, Kimberly and Jessica also discussed Kim Kardashian’s upcoming stint as a guest Pussycat Doll. The girls also revealed that they will embark on a world tour that will bring them back to the SEA region (some time in March/April 09).

He should. He’s a much better actor than he is a rapper.

  10. Anonymous August 1, 2008

he should just retire from entertainment completely…go back to school and learn how to be humble.

  11. Anonymous August 1, 2008

If he weren’t so arrogant I would like him more..

Better to know when to abandon ship and do it than sink like the Titanic!

No one is checkin’ for him anyways. He’s still trying to prove his manhood by talking about people on YouTube.

  13. Anonymous August 1, 2008

Bow Wow is a loser. No one is checkin for him except for 9 year old girls. He’s irrelevent in the rap game. Do US all a fovor and retire from life.

He’s so f***** cocky and arrogant for no apparent reason. He doesn’t even write his own s***. SIT THE F*** DOWN.

  14. Anonymous August 1, 2008

Bow who??? Puhhllease this one needs to go and sit somewhere

  15. Anonymous August 1, 2008

i think its good that he’s retiring too, but i doubt a holywood career would be lucrative for him, being honest he’s too short for any lead roles, he could play the comic relief like in tokyo drift I guees. Every job has a description.
