As reported earlier, Ciara’s much anticipated new single ‘Go Girl’, the first to be lifted from her third LP – ‘Fantasy Ride’ was set to debut this week. Indeed, the track went on to surfaced just a few hours ago.Though the song, which features T-Pain, is a solid mid-tempo cut (with that ‘knock)’, I must say I’m somewhat underwhelmed by this. With the high-octane/’Crunk to the next power’ nature of the album’s previously announced first single ‘High Price’, I was expecting big things from ‘Go Girl’, yet it doesn’t really deliver. By no means a poor effort, just simply not first single material. Here’s hoping the album packs more of a punch than this…

Yea, at first I really wasn’t feeling High Price, but then it grew on me. I’m a CIARA FANATIC and honestly, I didn’t like 1, 2, Step and then all of a sudden it was like a DEFINITE BANGER.. Ciara… No matter what she does, it’s a “catcher” by my book!
High Price was better….. didn’t she know that or something, she need to kick Bey n Rhi’s ass a lil harder than using Tpain in her song.. he dont even sing like in the other hit tracks he done…

So from a first listen this song wasn’t all that.
It was kinda like Ciara didn’t bring the Crunk, and was wanting T-Pain to, like this was really weird. Like you think with two ppl so heavilly Crunk influences this would be CRAZY, but ti was kinda laif back, and weird. Wow with them two I expected more.
“High Price,” was worse tho to me, Ciara and those opera vocals… NOT for me.

I must say, I think “High Price” would have been a way better choice. Since it was leaked so early, I do understand why it was not choosen. This song is cool. I do think the video will bring the song to life. I like the vibe of the song and the lyrics. I defintaley think it’s a grower, but the song doesn’t have anything that makes it stand out.
I’m guessing (i hope) there will be another single dropping prior to the album release. I hear that the song “Work,” may possibly be a follow up. I heard it was the track that her and Chris Brown danced to at the BET awards this year. If so, that track is definately something different. Either way, I do think this song can carry it’s own with a good video and concept.

To the comments below about Cici biting…. even though both songs sound different and Ciara probably didn’t bite—–DDDUUUHH!!! everybody knows Go Girl came from the BAY!!! first it was the “izzle” talk that came from 40, then it was the hyphe movement (thanks to Keak, its on the map), and now the go girl movement gets took??!! Damn, can we get some credibility one time?!?!?!?
