After a lengthy hiatus from the music scene, rapper Eminem is currently in the studio prepping his new LP. In an exclusive interview with BBC Radio 1, the Detroit native opened up about everything; from not having a desire for fame, working With Dr. Dre, taking drugs, his daughter, the ups and downs of the industry and a whole lot more.

At 41 minutes, the interview is pretty long. That said, highly insightful.

im sorry, but do people actually still care about him? because i dont. He hasnt been “hot” since 1999/2000. i guess what they say is true… once you leave (remember sisqo anyone? mase? etc) for a long period of time… you will be “forgotten”.

Anonymous do you like to act like what the music business want you to? Have a long term memory much? Why can’t an artist just take a break and come back later? People like you makes it hard to be a music fan.

    PhoenixReborn,

It is what it is. The truth hurts. I personally dont care much about Em either. Although I did like a few of his songs, if he came out with an album next week I wouldn’t buy it. Times Change. The Music Business Changed. Also, you make no sense… why does “anonymous” make it hard for you to be a music fan? that is just so stupid. If you like EM than Buy his album. “Anon” is just stating – i would say – a fact. Its true.

If you’re not on your A game, than some other artist will come up and take the spot that you left.

Look at Usher.. he was bananas back in 2004/2005. Sold a ridiculous amount of albums and than “took a break”. Now how did his last album sell? It didnt even sell more than (i believe) 500,000? Chris brown came out while Usher was on his break relaxing… and is now the hottest.

music changes, people change, the business change. If youre not on youre A game like Rihanna has been (releasing singles one after another after another) than you fall off. Its life.

But that comment you made kinda makes no sense. If you like his music than buy and support him, but maybe “Anon” had a change of heart and is no longer a fan.
