Britney Spears’ much-hyped ‘For The Record’ MTV documentary aired in the US last night. From all accounts, the show was awesome. Very insightful.

For my UK’ers, the hour long special airs on SKY One at 8pm tonight. I’ll be watching, will you?

US folk, what did you think of the special?

Your thoughts?

it was amazing.her life is so f***** up. people should really let her be happy in her career and with her family. she really deserves it. And if u say that she doesn’t you are just a hateful stupid asshole. Britney is amazing and i will be in the store buying circus tomorrow and i will be at the tour next year.

I loved it she was so open and seemed so human. She seemed fragile and strong at the same time. She came across so well.I am defitnately a britney fan after last night.

I was good! Its was raw and to the point. You can really see how and why she was so distraught to go and do the actions she did in past 18 months. I think people will have a new respect for Britney and it shined a newer positive light on her.

i’ll be watching this tonight. she had so much bad press over the past two years, should put the record straight that she is sane and human. love britney, will be buying her album and hopefully whenever she tours the uk!

I love Britney; I always have! The documentary was very insightful. It’s so sad what she goes through but she is a fighter. Hopefully her album will tear up the charts this week!

i so love brit and i will always be a diehard fan of heres! i almost wanted to cry once I saw her life as it was portrayed. I liked how open it was. I was very scary how everywhere she turned a diff srtanger was there wanting something from her and the fact that they chase her like that is rediculous! i honestly doesnt see how theses A list celebs stay sane. I honestly couldnt handle a lifestyle like that esp how private I am and thats why i decided not to pursue music. I will def be copping her album!

It was actually sad when she was expressing not being able to do the simple things anymore like take a walk in the park or drive down the street. She showed the downside to fame without complaining about it.

i have always been a britney fan, and i’m glad they showed the doc. it was sad aat times but then it was funny, my favorite scene was the sarah jessica parker dress/shirt scene. but i think the doc did what it was ment to do and show us what its really like to be her.

my favorite line was the last one, i just living life like the karate kid

It was good, she got me a little teary eyed for her when she was crying. All those cameras and paps will make you go insane. She can’t go anywhere.

i like how she opened up. Unlike some stars. (beyonce) I feel more closer to her as being a fan. And I understand that she is human just like me. A lot of the stuff she talked about I saw in my own life.

I loved this documentary I really thought it was well done and insightful. They didn’t adress some stuff that I though they would like the psych ward hospitalization etc. however i still loved it. Britney is an ICON.

it’s so dumb when these celebs try to make it seem like their lives are SO difficult. it could be worse. then she kept contradicting herself…smh it was all just for publicity. w/e

  22. booyall December 2, 2008

    Life is full of contradictions….

  23. Anonymous December 2, 2008

yOU CAN only go up once you hit rock bottom and thats what the documentary proved! Britney Spears is on her rise and i’m so happy for her!

girl is trying to get her life on track
doesnt help for people to always point the finger at her
she kind of gets hooked to the whole drama of getting so many attention and acts out when she doesnt get it but when things get too personal she takes it badly and start blaming the world for her mistakes
i think that her old management team were all about exploiting her and getting media attention
the fact that she ended up with a loser like kevin federline and alienated her true loved ones and friends didnt help
but she’s getting older and is learning
    wish her all the best
it be even greater and better if she stuck with GOD

Apart from all the emotional stuff i was actually taking notice of the part when she was doing womanizer routine. She was hot in the dance studio and it had a lot more content than we see now. Wonder why they toned it down she was on point.
Thats the Britney i like seeing. Shes not the best singer but overall entertainer was her plus so i hope she fully gets back in2 her dancing as thats what is a key strengh of hers. She not an old woman who can’t dance no more shes more than capable
