New Song: Rihanna – ‘Bad Girl (ft. Chris Brown)’

Published: Tuesday 6th Jan 2009 by Sam

A new Rihanna cut, featuring boyfriend Chris Brown, surfaced today. Believed to be lifted from the ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’ soundtrack – a movie in which they both make cameos – the Polo Da Don produced track isn’t bad at all. Granted I cannot understand what Ms. Fenty is ‘singing’ on the chorus and Chris Brown’s ‘rap’ sounding a lil’ Vanilla Ice, the beat goes hard and Rihanna rides the verses well. Listening to this actually has me really interested to see what she’ll be serving up on her oh-so-important new album (the one in which she proves her current success isn’t a fluke).

Hit or Miss?

Yeah it was a fluke, what has sustained her is the beats! Like it or not her talent is still in the bucket!!

The song is not really all that!!

  2. Anonymous January 6, 2009

NO ! NO! NO! Polow is a very hit or miss producer.(see Ciara’s song below) This is a miss. Chris is biting Lil Waynes style . Nice of her to try an r n b tack though.

well… Song is okay, not her best but its good

  4. Anonymous January 6, 2009

The lyrics suck (a fifth grader could have wrote this song), the vocals get lost behind the beat (maybe intentionally), and Chris…no rapping please.

Come on people, we can’t let this sub-par ‘ish be approved in 09’. Make these entertainers earn their money and stop downloading and buying stuff just because they’re cute or “edgy”.

  8. Anonymous January 6, 2009

OK NOW WE ALL KNOW THAT RIHANNA IS LACKING IN THE TALENT DEPARTMENT BUT I LIKE THE SONG…AS MUCH AS I TRY NOT TO I LIKE IT. THE FANS WILL EAT THIS UP…YALL KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO BE SINGING ALONG WHEN THIS COMES ON THE RADIO……………….ON ANOTHER NOTE…………I THINK CIARA COULD HAVE USED THIS SONG CUZ NEVER EVER IS NOT THE BUSINESS……BUT IN GUESS U PUT THE SONG WHEREVER THE MONEY IS AT.

  9. Anonymous January 6, 2009

THE EMERGENCY ROOM TRACK IS A DEMO…I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE HER BUT ITS NOT.

  10. Anonymous January 6, 2009

omg wut the f*** is this???? She cant be serious right?

  11. Anonymous January 6, 2009

Well she is not lying. The girl is bad. We all know she is not the best vocalist but neither are many female singers out now. She is fun to watch because she always looks beautiful. You don’t need hair hanging down to your rear to look nice. She can rock heels or sneakers and she is fly.

  12. Nat January 6, 2009

In the chorus Rihanna says “What a bad little girl I am [I got a problem!] [I need you to solve it]” I THINK… song is alright if unfinished I’m intrigued to her the mastered track

O.K RIHANNA I AIN’T MAD AT U. THIS SONG, THIS BEAT IS F***ING NUTS I GOTTA GIVE IT TO HER SHE KILLS THIS ONE. BUT THE PART WITH CHRIS WRAPPING COULD HAVE BEEN LEFT ON THE CUTTING ROOM FLOOR……..SERIOUSLY HE NEEDS TO STOP HES GETTING TO FULL OF HIS SELF. BUT A SIDE FROM THAT I LOVE THE SONG ALTHOUGH I DO THINK SHE SHOULD HAVE MADE THIS HER FIRST SINGLE FOR THE NEXT ALBUM. BUT IT’S COOL BECAUSE NOW SHES GOT MY ATTENTION I’M EXCITED TO SEE WHATS UP HER SLEVE FOR THE NEXT ALBUM. OHHHH AND MAJOR KUTOS TO POLO DA DON FOR THIS BEAT HIS WORK NEVER SEEMS TO DISAPOINT ME, HES JUST A GENUIS, OHHH S*** I AM REALLY FELLING THIS BEAT TO THE MAX

  15. Anonymous January 6, 2009

The beat is getting her by on this one. Rihanna, no matter how she looks I hope in 09 people make her actually come correct cause this stuff has got to stop!

  16. Anonymous January 6, 2009

I like it. Chris should never rap again tho.

  17. Anonymous January 6, 2009

I guess it’s gonna be on ri-ri-ri-ri-hanna, re-re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad.

  19. number1k9 January 6, 2009

Wasn't liking it after a first listen.

Though I'm glad to hear Chris Brown's rap didn't sound like 1 with his lisp.
I als odo not think Rihanna was "riding the verse," Sam…

  21. Anonymous January 6, 2009

    This song is garbage! NEXT

  22. Anonymous January 6, 2009

    garbage

  23. Anonymous January 6, 2009

this will get downloaded and hyped to death just because of the names associated…it doesn’t make a difference what quality, legit artists put out, if it doesn’t have a SUPERSTAR name attached to it, its forgotten/deemed as wack…well this is wack as f***…people that complain about how wack music is are the same ones buying songs like this

  24. jonnyhco January 6, 2009

    b******* garbage

  25. Anonymous January 6, 2009

This so-called “Rihanna hating party” is ONLY happening here on ThatGrapeJuice. The utter dislike for this artist is kind of funny. Elsewhere, she’s (still) the top pop artist ; every song she’s irked out of GGGB has made the top 20, most of them at #1. And her next album will be sure to produce its fair share. Don’t hate on RiRi or Chris Breezy, who BTW, is also a bonafide hitmaker.

  26. Anonymous January 6, 2009

I love this song and RIRI is doing her thing!!!!

  27. Anonymous January 6, 2009

Tell this chick she have no swag with fefe dobson hairstlye, attire rock attitude and music. Sounding like Kelis in her Caught Up and Beyonce Ring the Alarm. Tell her stop jacking Bey yelling/singing swag!
Song is terrible and Chris rapping is the worse!
Im so glad I have Halo Diva Single Ladies Go Girl and Never Ever to listen then her crap!

  28. inebriated January 6, 2009

rihanna’s success is not a fluke and this song and emergency room proves it

  29. the-coolestperiod January 6, 2009

Um what happened to the “edgy? sound she was going for? This song is garbage and I’m mad Chris participated in this b*******. LOL Come on Breezy, you know better than that! There is nothing spectacular about this track at all. Polow could’ve done better too. SMH

  30. Anonymous January 6, 2009

    RIYAWNA, RIYAWNA, RIYAWNA

  31. Anonymous January 6, 2009

I love Rihanna! and this single is defenitelyand a grower! XD
but i just can’t help it but this is obviously a Beyonce Jay-Z collabo wannabe! sorry. but still i like it!

  32. Anonymous January 6, 2009

riyawna success is SUCH a FLUKE! its a shame and what SWAG! I see Kelis Fefe Dobson and even the swagga jacka of them all Beyonce knocking at her door to get their swag back!

  33. Anonymous January 6, 2009

The song sucks and is a waste of a good beat.

“YALL KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO BE SINGING ALONG WHEN THIS COMES ON THE RADIO”
No, speak for yourself. I don’t listen to the radio anymore and if I did wouldn’t be playing this.

“This so-called “Rihanna hating party” is ONLY happening here on ThatGrapeJuice”
LOL. Not true at all. I guess you don’t visit many blogs.

  34. Jay January 6, 2009

First listen, i was like “WTF is this?”

chris brown should never rap again…his lyrics were below average and his flow/delivery was way off.

production from Polow was mediocre; the bass/percussion/syth made up for the song

Rihanna’s lyrics are garbage along with her pitch.

The song is only good for the clubs due to the beat. Besides that, ill give it 2.5 out of 5 stars

  35. Anonymous January 7, 2009

im sure all these rihanna haters are by the same person, cant admit that the chick is doing good at the moment, yeah you may not like her, but dont hate on her appearance and everything else, just sad. its just pathetic how you cannot admit shes good. go on deny it!!!

  36. the-coolestperiod January 7, 2009

To the person above me, I hope you plan on working on her new album or giving her some new tips on how to swaggerjack because her career is gonna be in shambles soon if this is the type of s*** she’s trying to put out. It’s not consistent. She’s never been consistent so since everybody’s “hating” on this queen of wackness, why don’t you get that b**** some vocal lessons, some media training, and a f***** personality because she’s lacking in all three areas!

  37. rihanna sucks January 8, 2009

It would make more sense if Beyonce Posh FeFe Dobson Madonna or Kelis were singing these words.

LOLOLOL bitin’ her “swag”??? LOLOL You mean the above referenced swag don’t you baby Kelis?

  38. the-coolestperiod January 8, 2009

The beat sounds so. . . 2004/2005. LMAO Polow could’ve done better than that.

  39. Candy January 8, 2009

Love this track it fits Rih Rih all the way…she bad ass hell nobody in the game got swagg like hers…deal with it HATerS
