The hotly anticipated video for ‘Bad Boys’, the lead single from Alexandra Burke’s debut album ‘Overcome’, premiered today. Directed by Bryan Barber (Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya’, ‘Roses’ and LeToya’s ‘Not Anymore’), the clip is best summed up as visual FIRE! Absolutely loving this one; this coming from one who was not sold on the song previously. Showing the confidence and all-round skill of a performer years deep in the game, Alex worked the hell out of this video; she gave me, with this, fierce, diva and above all a clear indicator that she – unlike many talent show winners – is in this for the long haul. One of the best videos of the year so far IMO (yes, I said it!). {Thanks Jonelle!}
wow, if these singles are dropped at the same time
i think Cheryl might win this battle, her videos hotter imo and the track pulls you in way more, but alexandra's does sound like a MEGA grower, thats gonna be massive but i dont know
hopefully Leona drops happy ASAP to end all this confusion, as she'll win hands down.
I like it Sam. It's a solid effort. She looks confident, beautiful, and s***. Today is my first time hearing the song and seeing the video, BTW. I was instantly sold, so thumbsup Alexandra. I wish her big success.
I'm feeling it. I didn't like the song at all when I first heard it but the video definitely has made me a bit more fond of it. I like the concept of the super powers and the fact that they didn't go with the obvious direction that most artists out today would have done – glamour shots, close-ups and a bunch of have naked dudes walking about and making their pecks jump (although I am sure a lot of people would have enjoyed the latter option lol). I also respect her for taking a chance with the dancing and actually doing a great job thanks to the tight choreography. Good job.
Random: am I the only one to notice that Flo Rida looked slimmer in this video. Where are his muscles? Gay guys around the world must be grieving lol! I kid, I kid.
yep, first time hearing the song and watching the vid and she had me going..i like..she brought the attitude and the pazzaz..dope vid and catchy track..i like!!!
the video is visually appealling and damn good solid effort for her first outting besides "hallelujah"…still not totally sold on the song, with that voice…i feel writers/producers could have done something better for a first single in regards to better lyrics…but the video definitely assists to sell the song…
however, that cheap ass weave has to go…her hair looked better when she was on X-FACTOR for god's sake…she doesn't need that chinese bang and it looks better long…and if that is her hair…that haircut is muy horrible…
i liked her hair man, but what do i know, i was to busy looking at her body. Friggin hell she has lost weight and toned it up since her first audition lol. I thought the whole bang and ponytail was to add to the whole action sequence feel. Like who fights with weave hanging down to ur batty lol
I honestly have to say I did not like the song at all….the video is a great effort as far as visual artistry goes…cute dance break …However, the song has a horrible hook…..I did not like it all…and Flo Rida didn't go well with the track….dam I really wanted to like her first single too….Hopefully she will come out with a better 2nd single
The video and the song are very corny in my opinion. One thing that sells it though is the fact that she is absolutely stunning. Being a winner of "X Factor," you would think they would give her something better than this. It sounds like such a hand-me-down track from another artists recording session. But good luck to her.
Shawn Mendes fans may have been bummed by the announcement he pushed back his anxiously awaited fifth studio album, the eponymous ‘Shawn,’ from its October 18 release date to November 15, but the 3x GRAMMY nominee is using the time to acquaint them with… Read More
20 years after Fantasia won over the hearts of America with her impassioned ‘American Idol’ performance of the 1935 classic ‘Summertime‘ (from ‘Porgy & Bess‘), the GRAMMY-winning diva seems poised to repeat the feat with an updated take on the timeless tune.

wow alexandra blew me away, the video was great. Amazing concept
good in parts I would say (its almost a bit too try-hard) plus here weave is not good!
boring.

Okay…It's on repeat for me right now Sam :-).
I LOVE IT
Wasn't too keen on the song at the start but the video has definitely made me like it a lot more. Lovin' the choreography…my gyal can dance!
Anyone else thinks this video reminds you a bit of Beyonce's 'Diva' video?
BTW, WTF did Alex get such a s*** premiere time (2am) and on ITV2? Whereas Cheryl got hers straight after Casino Royale (12am) on ITV1!?

i'm with alot of others on this one.
Wasn't keen on the track at first but its grown on me too.
Wouldn't say vid of the year but its a hot vid and Alexandra works the hell out of it.
Now winner of a reality show has debut in such a manor with up-tempo and swagger.
Great Job and good choice of video director.
This gonna UK number #1
Go Alex. Hit all over! Come to the US soon!
