Honestly, that intro scared the s*** out of me, like I had to pause it for a real quick second and make sure I was still breathing. This video really defines my life right now and I'm loving it, I'm glad she's coming back strong. The only things I didn't really like were the overlay effect looking kind of cheap and how there really was no "climax" (no pun intended) of the video. She looked great thoughand it's always good to see some dancing, I'm sure that little 360 leg-pump is going to catch on lol.

Overall I'd say she did pretty damn well for herself! Keep it coming Ms. Amerie!

That was actually good for Amerie…I like it but wish there would have been more dancing. I love the song.

YAAAAAAAAAAAS!! SLAY BYTCH! SLAY! She looked fierce!! I LOVE IT and LOVE this song!! We all have heard em all before but can't put nothing on me!! Its gonna take my big ass awhile to get that leg thingy that she does though hahahaha!

uhhh – somethings off with the video – it doesnt sem like her and the dancing looked wierd – she doesnt look right dancing like that to me – her face was blank during the whole routine – the song is cool but the video didnt do anything for me – this whole dark vibe doesnt really suit her "pop" tone – her voice is way to light for this kinda style! she looked good tho

Disappointed in the choreography. But I still love the director, Anthony Mandler.

I perfer her WHY R U single/video over this I'm not feeling this at all sorry guys and I don't think this is going to give her the push she needs w/the new album coming out.

This video kind of reminds me of the Disturbia video when they are both are in the chair in the beginning and in the end of the video. I think this is a good look for Amerie. She tried something new and I think she pulled it off in her own way.

This can be her big hit.. they just need to figure out how to get it on radio, and play like crazy.

HOT VIDEO!!! this video is nothing like “disturbia” besides the fact that they share the same director. this has a post-apocalyptic theme whereas rihanna’s was more horror film like. both dope videos though. amerie is bringing it whether some of the haters feel her or not. she’s a sweetie who has bold, in your face music that you can feel. wake up people!

I like it but wish there would have been more dancing.

    It’s Disturbia—vibe
    Lady Gaga—costumes
    Ciara–Dump Truck
I like Amerie but I think she took a little something from things that are cool at the moment and sometimes they just dont work all together. I want her to find her own style. She could be great!!!

  18. antertain September 25, 2009

Not to keen on this track..

She looks great in the video though and love some of the art-work that’s supposedly for the album..

    Why R U was great.

Very talented is Amerie but she needs a proper single of the “One Thing” type calibre. It must not sound similar to that track but be a hit in its own right.

Single for Pop & Single for Urban charts is the way forward nowadays

Well, I think the video is definitely something new for Amerie which is a good thing. The dancing was very out there and different, so I really would not call that Beyonce like.

I didn’t also see Lady Gaga costumes. But I will admit, with the second group of dancers (if this is what you meant) It came off like Amerie was dancing with a ton of Lady Gaga’s, which was a funny element for the video.

How come in the picture that was taking from the set, it looked like Amerie was on some African like field in clothes similar to African culture. I figures she woulda took this video back to the home land! LOL! Either way the video is unique in its own right to me.

I also feel like if LeToya’s heavily Pop/Rock influenced “She Ain’t Got…” couldn’t cross over its going to be 10 times harder for this urbam sounding track by Amerie to get Pop airplay and succeed!

    it was good

  22. Anonymous September 26, 2009

man, this is shithouse! amerie can sing better than this, and at least they could come up with some better or unusual choreography, coz when u compare this to CC she sux, the singing isnt too great. Poor amerie, her time is over

  23. Anonymous September 26, 2009
