Peep the official album cover for Alicia Keys‘ forthcoming LP ‘The Element of Freedom‘ (due December 15th). Not sure I’m feeling the ‘Mother Earth’ vibe of this cover. Still, I’m loving her new single ‘Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart’ and I’m quite amped for the album itself.

I love it as well! There is nothing mother earth about it just simply stated beauty.
How is this supposed to be an album cover and she has her eyes closed? If i learned anything from Tyra Banks its that you sell covers of albums and magazines by pulling in the viewer with your eyes. And this cover in general just isn’t hot. There is too much going on between the feathers and the background. Alicia is a talented artist and i just hope her marketing team doesn’t let her down.

I’ve seen two versions of her latest cover and I personally feel that the photo in the 1st version should have been used with the fonts and layout of the official cover. The photo in the official cover looks a little over-enhanced and less clean than the 1st version. But regardless, Alicia Keys is very talented and her cover will definitely not prevent anyone who loves her music to not pick up a copy….
