Diva Mariah Carey stopped TBS’ Lopez Tonight show last night to promote her current project ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’, performing her hit ‘Obsessed’, as well as sitting down for a chat with the comedian. You can watch the performance above, while the interview is after the ‘read more’ link.
About the performance; Ms. Carey-Cannon was clearly having a bit of an off-day vocally with this one. While she moved somewhat more lucidly across the stage, the vocals were really lacking – made worse by the fact she mixed the sub-par vocals with pre-recorded ones (which is sadly becoming a trademark of hers these days). On the plus side, she looked great!
I would rather see J-LO lipsync and dance her A$$ off than this!!at least that’s more entertaining. i feel as if i saw this like 100000000 times!! BORING!

The vocals weren’t as bad as I expected, but that’s not saying much. Still, she is hands down one of the worst performers in the industry. The other “voices” in the industry may not be able to dance like Janet or J-Lo but at least they can perform and give you energy. It’s like Mariah is half sleep when she performs, all the time!!!
ok mariah is not the only artist now a days to use pre recorded vocals. BEYONCE IS THE DAMN QUEEN OF THIS and yet this site never seems to b**** about that. everyone does it. it sucks but it is what happens.

I love you guys at TGJ, but you guys always think everyone vocals are prerecorded, its more than obvious she SANG live…not her best…live for a heavily autotuned song. Maybe the last part of adlibs where she goes “HE’S ALL UP IN MY GEORGE FORMAN!” and perhaps the high note at the end, but other than that I put my money on Mariah being live during this.
This interview was HIGHlarious! She was loose and funny and when she got up to motion what she did with the fire I was so surprised. For some reason I have this idea Mariah is so delicate and can’t move, lol, that was probably the most movement I’ve every seen her be and most animated. Whatever Nick is doing, KEEP DOING IT

Though the performance wasn”t the best her energy and personality were certainly ever on display. It looked like she was comfortable and had a good time.

Stage presence ZERO and her backup dancers had trouble lifting her huge self off the floor the first time LOL. Whitney’s performances are ten times better much more bearable then this pile of crap. I had to fast forward to the interview, because it was to much for me to bare!! Mariah needs to really take a break and really rest her voice!!!! I watch videos from 90’s and she had a bomb ass voice especially when she first came out!!!! I want to ask somebody, if she had the node surgery would it stop her from hitting high notes?
OMG!! Has anyone ever seen her in concert??? I think NOT!! Cause if you did, you would not be hating on her . She has the best vocals I have ever heard!! Who cares if she dances on stage or not.
