She need to not include ‘superman’- that song was crap and she didn’t sound good singing in that register. Love her positive personality and wish her the best but she has so many songs out there.
why was superman not the first single?
I actually loved the song but I saw her album list on another site and it’s not even on there so it doesn’t matter. I LOVE that her and her family show that there are positive ,strong, families that stick together and grew up poor. Unfortunately alot of people out there didn’t know it was possible. Her family has her back and her relationship with her kids is BEAUTIFUL…. Keep up the good work Monica .I’m glad to see ALZl your growth and theryre are plenty famalies that appreciate what u do
This album sounds like the place that she said she didn’t want to be, Adult R&B… How many of these songs do we need? I haven’t heard anything new or innovative from Monica… I think she has a great voice, but I need more. (In addition, I hate her “chickenhead” hairstyles!!!)

Superman ain’t the single but very relateable which makes her think it is.
I think the studio version maybe abit higher in key cus she sounded abit to low on the live performance..
Great how she gave the women some cool advise and make em learn to be strong through all situations

I actually like Superman. I hope she does really well with this album. With this industry great singers are usaully overshadowed by non-singing, wannabe edgy, autotuned, half-naked, non-performing ones.
Watching this show every week (thanks Grapejuice) definitely has me amped for her new album! I think with the right push, she can definitely achieve success with this new movement of hers! Timbaland said it best, “If people stop trying to get #1 records all the time and put out simply quality music, then the success will follow”. God Bless Monica and all that she does! She’s a great representation of an African American Female!
i liked superman when i heard her record it, but i didnt like her performing it live it was too low , the thing about monicas voice is she has a money shot when she sings in middle register to chest belt n falsetto, but she has to transition between them all or her voice sounds very dull and on one level .She has a natural abilty but because shes never been trained she doesnt have technique but she has flair.
Love Monica. The show is great and the new music sounds amazing!
Rob all i’d say is listen to a track by Monica called Down 4 Whatever & For You I Will.. Transitions are not her problem.
