R&B tycoon Usher made an appearance on BET’s ‘106 & Park’ recently. In a candid interview after debuting his video for ‘Lil Freak (Ft. Nicki Minaj)’, the singer discussed his upcoming album, ‘Raymond vs Raymond’ (which hits stores on March 30th), divorce and the experiences he had working with Minaj. Check out the interview below:
I hope Usher returns to doing the kind of hits that made him famous, he seems so complacent
in his career.
HAHJAHAHAHAH Usher looked REAL worried when they asked that girl to come up! ahhaahhaha that girl crazy
I like the video but I don’t think it’s anything to run home about. I love that Ciara is in the video but he could have put her to better use, a dance scene would have sufficed. My question is how does he expect to compete with the likes of Chris Brown and other young male artist if he’s not gonna do something out of the box. Everything is so blah, anyway…….. On a better note, the song is hot. I think it’s the best uptempo song on his album. Hopefully his album sells.
how usher can compete with chris? serious with chris???
chris is nothing against usher…
usher can dance and sing….and chris can dance…no one can take that away, he’s a good entertainer
but vocally usher has not to have fear of chris…
and personally i think lil freak is out of the box, its not electro….
if he came out with a song like forever, which is a good song, i would have thought wtf?!
why he did not use ciara like he could have is still weird….she could have been “that girl” nicki wants to have in her bed, would have been hot
by the way i dont think this album will sell well
i live in germany and it comes out today, but i did not hear a single from him on tv or radio…
whats wrong with those international superstars not being international anymore?
When it comes to the competition from younger male artists, there’s really nobody to compete with at the moment for him. Chris Brown can’t even get radio to play his s***, Jason Derulo looks like a middle-school talent show performer next to Usher, and Justin Beiber – well let’s not even go there.
Actually, Justin Beiber, of all the fresher male acts of today, would beat out Usher simply because he appeals more to the most loyal and dedicated demographic – the 14 year old white female. Trey Songz was another one I was thinking about, but that more than likely won’t happen.
He said “I love you more” to that crazy fan.
Is there anything about Michael Jackson these modern day pop stars don’t copy!?
lol just playing :p
I love Usher’s old stuff, but with the music he’s been putting out, this album will surely flop. He’s not giving it to us like he did before. 🙁
Music Lover
Are u crazy! U want him to be a failure forever and never have another hot album and comeback? He will comeback this time! Let’s be patient!
@YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut
Justin won’t surpass Usher!
USHER IS BRINGING THE HEAT AGAIN! THIS SONG AND OMG, etc. WIll BE HUGE FOR HIM! HE IS THE BEST!
