Chris Brown Storms Out Of Radio Interview

Published: Saturday 1st May 2010 by Sam

For a minute, it appeared as though things were beginning to improve for troubled R&B star Chris Brown. However, a recent run-in with a radio personality, culminated in the 20 year old lashing out at the station for not playing his music, and abruptly bringing the interview to an end. Check out the report via Contact Music, after the jump…

The singer has been attempting to rebuild his career after he was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna last year (09), but he marred a promotional appearance on Q94 WRVQ by swearing at host Kash and accusing the DJ of failing to play his records.

Kash played the pre-recorded interview back to listeners, and explained his surprise when Brown began shouting at him for no reason.

He said, “Chris Brown was going to come in today to do an interview to promote his concert… But before we could even get into the interview, homeboy starts yelling at me, wondering why we don’t play his records. And I said, Mr Chris Brown… you just don’t have any hits and that’s just the truth. You don’t have any hits right now.’ And… from there the whole interview just goes south.”

Brown is heard telling the DJ, “All I’m saying is that you don’t play my s**t. What number is it (my song) at? It don’t matter. Why am I even doing this interview? I ain’t doing this s**t.”

Kash later explained he received a number of phone calls from officials at Brown’s Jive record label apologising for the star’s behaviour.

He adds, “Shout out to every one at Jive for all of the apology phone calls I received for their artist acting like a diva. And I’m pretty sure I won the award for quickest interview ever.”

The DJ has also spoken out to dismiss claims he edited the audio to make the incident sound worse than it actually was.

In a post on his Twitter.com page, Kash writes, “For the record, my interview with Chris Brown was posted with the entire amount of audio I got minus dead air, I tightened it up for radio play. Apparently blogs are thinking I edited it to make homeboy look like a d**che, but no editing can create that level of d**che-bagery.”

I’m all for second chances and whatnot, but as an artist (particularly one in the predicament Chris is in) it really does pay to take it all on the chin and keep it moving. Yes, it must be personally frustrating that folk are STILL  dwelling on the infamous Rihanna incident. But, that’s life. Actions like this only elongate his journey back to prominence. SMH…

    Karma’s a b**** baby! The woman-beater deserves it

  2. malyeh May 1, 2010

If radios didn’t play his records before, how can they be hits ?!!!! SMH
Play them, they’ll become hits ! That’s the way it is !

How many times I’ve made listen to friends ChrisBrown songs without tellin them it was him and they looooooved it !!!!

That presentator is such an hypocrite, stop lyin’ and say the real personal reasons you don’t play his songs !

  3. ADE May 1, 2010

LMAO!!! Chris Brown is such a little whiney b****!

  4. OJ May 1, 2010

I agree with the above comment. I guess that station was too small to make their own moves instead of playing what everyone else plays. But whatever.

I also agree that it must be frustrating for chris that people are still dwelling on something that happened more than two years ago. He’s been so strong but no one is perfect and I’m not surprised he reacted the way he did. I love chris brown n everything but even Michael Jackson took an hiatus from music after his accusations from child molestation charges. Michael mad it much worst for much longer.

My stand on the whole Rihanna thing for the record is that she provoked it and that’s where my mind remains. I feel more sorry for chris.

  5. Last Boy on Earth May 1, 2010

I’m starting to pity him but what can you expect from a woman beater?

  6. Last Boy on Earth May 1, 2010

    @oj
why do you compare this situation to MJ? In this situation we had proofs and he even admited he did it, with MJ “incidents” no one ever saw a proof, he was just accused and people destroyed his life before knowing if it was even true, he didnt deserve it, now Fist Brown deserves everything he is been getting sorry but a man punching a woman like that? Even if she provoked him or beat him first (once again, there isnt any proof if it is true, I think we should know by now if it was, I mean, if she beat him first I think he would say it) I dont think it was right the things he did..

  7. Ritardna May 1, 2010

Lmao at fistopher brown thinking he is still the s***. Just as cringeworthy as Ritardna trying to perform.

  8. hihihihi May 1, 2010

PEOPLE WOULD PLAY HIM IF HE WOULD SOUND GOOD BUT HE DOESNT

    SORRY

HE SOUNDS BREATHY AND LIKE 15

    NEXT

  9. Wow May 1, 2010

All these haters commenting I bet u have a woman beater close to u that u hug and love everyday

The dj edit that s*** and after jive found out what happen kash is now on suspension and there will be a meeting on Monday to decide if he still has a job

Enough is enough it’s been 2 damn years move on

  10. Be BETTER not “BITTER!” May 1, 2010

Umm I have not yet listened to the radio interview but this Chris Brown rant has nothing to do with Rihanna, Chris asked the man why he doesn’t play his music and the DJ said because you have not hits! It is true that a lot of ppl are still hung up on the Rihanna issue but if he took 6 mos. sat his ass down and wrote and made some Good music instead of some Cocky-Bubble Gum Urban-Pop Crap Music that he has been releasing and game with some Hot Songs and Good Videos I guarantee his career would be salvageable in the mean time he needs to have a seat before he has no career left! LOL

  11. Tha Phoenix May 1, 2010

Chris, this isn’t the way to go. The best thing to do would have been to be gracious and not say a word about them not playing your songs – this was some much needed promo, and, from what I hear, you haven’t had much opportunity for that over in the States.

I understand that you’re frustrated but you need to take the high road, because, right now, you need these people a lot more than they need you.

    QED.

  12. Kev May 1, 2010

I feel sorry for CB because he’s getting fed alot of BS! Dj’s add records and then with airplay and sales the song becomes a hit. If he doesn’t want to play CB records because he’s apart of that group that’s banning him be honest, but don’t patronize Chris and benefit from high ratings by interviewing him. He probably realized the Dj’s intentions and it made him get beside himself. I personally feel CB was wrong for abusing Rihanna, but my gut feeling is that Rihanna was very malicious and sneaky. Her motives were to have CB fall off the face of the earth and ruin his life and career. My problem with it is that she went on a tour for that sole purpose… after she reunited with him in Miami. She’s very cold and I think it’s more to this story than meets the eye!

“Posted the entire interview, minus the dead-air?<<<<—-Huh? Why NOT just POST EVERYTHING: 'dead-air and all?' Something just doesn't "smell right!" If this DJ wanted to "keep it real," and have the situation, AND HIMSELF, placed "above suspicion" or at-least, clear his name, why didn't HE just POST EVERYTHING? Why did he post "the EDITED VERSION?" Why did HE have to "tighten-it-up?" He should post everything on Twitter: "dead-air, and all!!" THEN-let-us, 'judge for ourselves!'

Did ya'll remember(hear) the interview he did, late-last year, with that Seattle radio station? The very-one, where they kept on asking him 'bout Rihanna, even-when he asked them to 'keep-on-topic': his CD? That was an "ambush interview!" …The "Fix-is- in!"

Doesn't that "DJ" know that Richmond, Va has some 'RIGHTEOUS gang-activity' and he just-might, "risk the wrath"……?

…Does THAT DJ want to get SHOT IN THE HEAD?
…Doesn't that DJ realize that he's stirring-up some serious drama? I wonder what it'd take to get some disenfranchised, disaffected and discouraged black-youth, to pick up a gun and put it to THAT white man's head and empty HIS BRAINS onto the street?

I wonder if said 'young-black youth' reads these very blogs, and see's HIMSELF in, and identifies-with Chris: A young man, who has NEVER gotten into ANY trouble, but is NOW blamed and made scapegoat for each-and-every "domestic-discord."
I wonder if said young black youth, with gun-in-hand, KNOW knows that HE HAS POWER, and HIS ENEMIES FEAR HIM?
I wonder if this noble-black youth knows that HE is NOW "GOD-LIKE" and NOW-has the power of life-and-death?
I wonder if this young-genius, knows that it's those who look like this "DJ KASH" who are HIS real-enemies?

…"Be safe," DJ Kash, them Richmond-streets get REAL "dark-at -night!"

    X,Y,"and Z" — OUT!

  17. geronimo May 1, 2010

why did this radio guy air this anyways? WITHOUT HIS CONSENT !!! I think he wants to become famous through Chris, wtf.

    Go chris go

  18. geronimo May 1, 2010

    @ WOW

I hope they fire him, who the f*** is Kash anyways?

  19. YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut May 1, 2010

^^ They’re not gonna fire him over some Chris Brown b*******, so keep trippin’.

@ Kev, why would her motive be to have CB fall off the face of the earth and ruin his life and career? They were two young individuals in love, so I hardly doubt she was initially out to hurt him. If you’re talking about AFTER he beat her ass…well then yes, that’s understandable. And…what’s wrong with that, exactly? If my man beat my ass to a bloody pulp, I’d be trying to ruin his life too. And if that really was her intention, she sure as hell did a damn good job, now didn’t she? And he certainly deserves it for being the abuser that he is.

@ X,Y,”and Z”, if you’re actually trying to imply that some goon from Richmond is gonna take out Kash because Chris Brown acted like a diva p**** ass b**** and stormed out of his radio interview, negroid please! LMAO

  20. geronimo May 1, 2010

Grafitti will spread his name.. this is pure “HATE”

  21. geronimo May 1, 2010

    @ you.. coconut

-(talk about b/f beating you up to the pulp) trust me rihanna would still be with chris till today if the public didnt get into their business.
-that 20/20 interview made her look evil and greedy.
-Karma is a b**** is gonna come back to everyone who is against CB.
-We all make mistakes so lets not judge.

  22. Ghetto Fab May 1, 2010

I’m sorry but besides the wholre Rihanna issue, his latest cd is TRASH! All of them sound like remakes of the last hits on his last cd. If he had come with something a bit more pop like “Forever” than he would have had a chance. But I don’t care what anybody says

Crawl sounds like all his other slow ones
Transform You sounds like all the upbeat ones.

There was no growth in his music. But to be fair alot of these artists come back out and basically ride off their hit albums that were basically their best material eg. Beyonce Dangerously In Love, Rihanna Good Girl Gone Bad. And there are more. Only these people didn’t beat the hottest pop star in music at the time to a bloody pulp.

Chris needs to take a break. He needs time to grow. The interview makes him come off even more as just a little immature little boy that he is. Take a break dude.

  23. Fred May 1, 2010

I have yet to hear this entire interview so I dont know if Chris was provoked beforehand or if he walked into this station with animosity beforehand. Either way Chris lives in VA so he knows what goes on at this station so the latter could be true. This station probably doesnt play his music at all and he might have heard stuff we know nothing about that was hateful in the past, Chris Im sure listens to the local stations hence why he brought it up immediately. The DJ though was an ass in my opinion because he pretty much brought up the fact of how much he thought Chris was a flop right to Chris’s face, which was immature as hell and not professional at all.

I saw all of this on twitter and the DJ kept blabbing about this for two days on twitter acting like a fool on top of doing some lame parody on air which was cut off by someone at the station while he was doing it. The DJ is a teenager and an idiot. This DJ also typed out thanks Im JOBLESS now on twitter, well dont blame Chris blame your stupidity after JIVE called and apologized and Chris apologized to the station manager you just kept acting a fool.

I watched one of the interviews that Chris did the same day with Tyga at another radio station and it was fantastic there were no issues there. He had two great radio interviews before this one.

  24. May 1, 2010

Latest update is that Kash has been suspended from the radio and has a meeting Monday… i heard now that they fired his ass, chris tweeted that he was sorry, but that he founds it weak to cut the intervieuw off, like he went off like that in 1 min.. he was there for his va concert and the dj being disrespectfull to him, in his face so yeah i would walked out 2 if i was him

  25. May 1, 2010

@ fred, omg he just don t know when to stop, now that s what i call UNprofessional,.. damnzz.. you cant deny they have something against him,..its just sad, how old is that guy… :S

  26. onetimething May 1, 2010

rihanna stans, stop runnin ur mouths as if u know wat went on in tht car, u know ur”queens” a h**, she donme f***** nearly all the men in the industry and tht 20/20 interview showed the public her true colours. truth is I was a fan of hers but I noticed tht she wasnt hurt bout the incident and thts why she used it 4 publicity. in the 20/20 interview diane asked her wat did u do to defend urself? Rihanna: I jus wanted it to stop…….*pause* B**** SHUT UR MOUTH….ur telin me u didnt do S*** to “defend” urself. SMDH i laughed sooooo hard at tht answer!! tht child needs help
    Sorry for the essay guys
I hope chris makes an EPIC comeback and knocks this goat bleepin, bucket v***** big citted h** off the charts:-)

  27. Stacey May 1, 2010

It’s obvious that the DJ set him up. The proof is in the fact that the radio station fired him because THEY have access to the entire interview. It must have been pretty obvious. I don’t know how many times Rihanna has gone off on people asking her about “rumors” (remember the h***** question when she cursed?) and people ignored it or took up for her. How about her liking big “you know”? I don’t see much on the Internet about her spending her time yesterday in a s** shop in Paris, either.

The truth is that a song can’t become a hit unless the radio stations introduce people to the music by playing it. A lot of people don’t visit these types of sites, so they don’t know what it is unless they hear it. Let’s call it what it is-blackballing, and we all know whose behind it. I didn’t see anyone boycotting Two and a Half Men when Charlie Sheen, a REPEAT OFFENDER WHO SHOT HIS THEN-FIANCE KELLY PRESTON. It fact, it was the opposite, and the show made all types of concessions for him. The main culprits are the big shows like Tom Joyner, and that self-righteous cockeyed Michael Baisden, both of whom still refuse to play his music. We know Brown is talented. He helped get Rihanna out there by working himself to death on her tours while she posed and paraded around the stage.

This guys no Ike Turner. He never hit a girl before because if he had, he would have been Tiger Woodsed with girls coming out of the woodwork. He hasn’t hit anyone since. Rihanna and her execs saw a golden opportunity and I would bet that they knew of her incidents where she had hit Brown and played on it to propel her career even higher.

This type of behavior never pays off in the long run. He really shouldn’t have hit her, but I’ve been smelling a rat about the whole situation from the beginning. I’ve been a lawyer for 12 years, and something just isn’t right.

  28. YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut May 1, 2010

@…, I’m pretty sure whatever you heard was nothing more than rumor, if you even heard it in the first place. It’s not Monday yet and the parody he did, in no way whatsoever, is cause for his indefinite termination from the station. It’s Chris Brown, for god sake…do you stans really think the station REALLY gives a s***? They don’t play Chris’ music, so yall really think they’re gonna fire a DJ over some petty Chris Brown joke? This s*** ain’t no scandal or anything, Kash will get a slap on the wrist and be back on the air on Tuesday, so let’s just stop before we get ahead of ourselves with this one.

  29. YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut May 1, 2010

@ Geronimo, dead @ Graffiti “spreading his name”…I’m going to assume you just woke up, and therefore are still a little foggy in the brain. I say some weird s*** too myself first thing in the morning. Oh, and nobody beats their woman by mistake, so let’s not call it that please. He hit, choked and bit her on purpose, like a dog who bites a small defenseless child. Karma isn’t going to catch up to anybody who’s against this ignorant fool because those who don’t make excuses for abuse generally are in the right, and therefore won’t receive karma for not putting up with such a b**** move as a man hitting a woman.

In order for this to happen, Chris’ 6 stans are going to have to get off their lazy asses and look for a dusty copy of Graffiti in the back of the music section in Walmart, or wherever the f*** else this n****’s CD’s are [not] selling. Otherwise, kiss that dream goodbye. And this, in no way whatsoever, is coming from a Rihanna stan. You see me bigging her ass up? Of course you don’t.

  31. geronimo May 1, 2010

DJ set him up – 100% agree

  34. Fred May 1, 2010

WOW Im drinking coffee watching this DJ’s twitter waiting on my hubby to wake up. Now this guy is typing this on his twitter how mature of him, Im thinking this guy must have a Harvard degree at this point.

I’m working on something — can someone photoshop a picture of Chris Brown’s face on a baby for me?

  35. bbdakar May 1, 2010

It’s obvious you didn’t listen to all the songs of Graffiti, cuz the lyrics are very mature. just listen to Lucky Me, Famous Girl ! You can feel he was just showing his heart in that CD.
Kash, who’s this guy anyway ? just tryin’ to get the attention. Plus, he was promotin the concert he’s doin in VA for Haïti ! It wasn’t even for himself. It’s been 1 year now, ppl need to get over it ! CB, keep ya head up. Everything’s gon be alright

  36. honeygirluk May 1, 2010

Chris bown’s so called fans are the reason he’s not selling.
Why didn’t more of them buy his last album?
Why do they keep blaming rihanna for an assault he admitted to doing?
It seems to me his fans spend more time hating on everything rihanna does instead of suppporting his music.

  37. YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut May 1, 2010

On a totally different note, if Kash doesn’t look like the most stale piece of White Bread I’ve ever seen…lawd jesus! I mean, you hear his voice, you see his name, and then you take a look at the dude…wowza, LOL! I bet his real name is “Austin Smith” or something. #wiggaplease

  38. JUST SAYING/ME May 1, 2010

Since we saw BET edit his performance @ Spring Bling, it’s BELIEVABLE that this intrvw was edited.

U DONT MESS WITH PEOPLE’S MONEY! That’s what this and other DJs are doing. On the streets, people get MURDERED over a dollar. NOt playing his music is messing with his money. Would YOU be calm if your job (that they’ve been at for YEARS) decided to not pay you anymore, but said you don’t work hard enough to get paid, when YOU WORK HARDER than your co-workers who sit around and do NOTHING, and they get paid right and left?!

Songs become hits, by being played on the radio. Many songs are repeated so much, that they “grow on you”, even if they suck. I don’t care how mature/old someone gets, NO ONE likes for people to mess with their money.

I just love how some people poke, poke, poke someone until the person responds. Then they say “Oh, he’s so angry”. They’re trying to break him. Keep your head up Chris.

  39. Stacey May 1, 2010

    Honeygurl

I don’t own a Brown CD or a Rihanna CD and neither does my daughter. I’m talking about the principle here. Not all people are like Rihanna fans, who will spend their whole paycheck to by up 20 of her CD’s like those stupid Clay Aiken fans did. The proof came out with Aiken when he tried to go on tour and it flopped. Sound familiar?

  40. Fred May 1, 2010

Hey bbdakar you shouldn’t direct that at ALL Chris Brown fans. I am a CB fan and not fond of Rihanna’s music except for one song and that is Dont Stop the Music. You will never see me in any of her articles posting negativity either I dont have time to go to all the artists articles that I am not fond of and make rude comments nor do I have the inclination to do so, its a bit immature in my opinion.

What Chris did was wrong, he knows it was wrong, he is working to try to make his life better so I will keep supporting him and yep I did buy his CD.

I am only posting here this morning because for once I am bored 🙂 I hope nothing but the best for Rihanna and Chris myself.

Btw, for people who keep diminishing the importance of radio play, if it wasn’t important and DETRIMENTAL to an artist’s success, record companies wouldn’t BRIBE DJs to play stuff. It’s called PAY-FOR-PLAY/PAYOLA:

“”Our investigation shows that, contrary to listener expectations that songs are selected for airplay based on artistic merit and popularity, air time is often determined by undisclosed payoffs to radio stations and their employees,” Spitzer said. ”

The Assurance of Discontinuance summarizing the Attorney General’s findings alleges that the illegal payoffs for airplay were designed to MANIPULATE record charts, generate consumer interest in records and increase sales.

It wasn’t until after he left the label that Joe says he found out what was behind his perceived stalled progress. He says his own label mate, R. Kelly, put pressure on Jive execs and radio stations to fall back on promoting his records when the singles appeared to be getting too much attention.

“R. Kelly was very instrumental in making a lot of decisions when it came to my records being played on the radio,” Joe told EUR’s Lee Bailey Tuesday. “He would make a call to the radio station or to the label and say, ‘Hey, this Joe record is too hot right now. Yall need to pull that back.’ And they would oblige.”

    one last thing:

Chris DOES have hits, TONS of them and yes on Graffiti too. But mostly Online. Even though everyone thinks that other people in the world live they way they do, not everyone has a computer, computer access, ipod or m** player, credit card or bank account to pay to download songs, buy albums online (since even lots of physical stores weren’t putting Graffiti on shelves) etc. The most widely available and important way for artists songs to become hits off-line, is RADIO PLAY.

WOWWWWWWWWW! THIS man KEEP getting breaks! OMG @ today’s info”

TMZ has learned Charlie Sheen’s lawyers are deep in plea negotiations with Aspen prosecutors and a deal is close — in large part because Charlie’s show is hanging in the balance.

Sources close to Sheen tell TMZ Charlie’s team has one goal — the plea deal must be made by May 19 … the date of the CBS upfronts, when the fall schedule is announced. We’re told CBS is skittish about re-upping the show if Charlie’s fate is uncertain.

Insiders involved in the contract negotiations tell TMZ it’s increasingly looking like Charlie will cut a new deal with Warner Bros. for two more years of “Two and a Half Men.”

As for the plea deal, sources say there have been “numerous conversations” between Charlie’s lawyers and Aspen prosecutors. As we first reported, the hang-up was over whether Charlie would be pleading guilty to a felony or a misdemeanor.

We’re told it looks like Charlie will end up pleading to one count of misdemeanor criminal mischief for breaking Brooke Mueller’s eyeglasses.

chris has anger management issues, he is immature and gets riled up easily. now is the time people are really seeing the kind of person he is. when things don’t go his way he throws tantrums, that’s why i believe that he did go off on rihanna when she argued with him, he seems to be the type that can’t take criticism of any kind, and just seems like a spoiled brat. rihanna clearly was the more mature of the two. he needs help pronto.

  50. bbdakar May 1, 2010

I think real fans buy his album and don’t blame Rihanna for that. Everybody knows what he did was dead wrong. And he knows it too, that’s why he apologized several times. Ppl can be so judgemental. They’ll say “I’ll never hit a woman” and the day it happens, they see what it is.
I love Rihanna, well I’d say I loved her before she completely changed her style. I knew this was gon’ end bad the day they made their relationship official, just felt it !

  51. Stacey May 1, 2010

    @ newsflash:

YOU WOULD BE PISSED, TOO, if you saw people like Sheen get away with the crap he has and he is too old for that. Brown is 20 years old and over a year later, people are STILL blackballing him, but every stupid thing Rihanna does someone has an excuse for it citing “she’s still young”.

Let the guy’s music speak for him, play his music on the radio, and let people make up their own minds. It’s like the music industry has become a fascists nation.

  52. YouPutTheLimeInTheCoconut May 1, 2010

@Stacey, what Newsflash Haters is saying has nothing to do with Chris being pissed off about Charlie Sheen. This is about Chris Brown and his ability to easily get angered to the point where he can’t control his actions in a proper and mature manner, as was the case in the car that night, and as is the case here in this interview. The boy clearly has anger issues, and it stems from within himself and the way he was raised, not other celebrities who get away with s*** he doesn’t.

And speaking of which, why the hell are yall bringing up a middle aged man in his 50’s whose KNOWN for his out of control behavior anyway? Are we really trying to compare Chris Brown to Charlie Sheen? I mean s***, I’ll bet my next four paychecks Chris don’t even pay attention to other celebrities, including Sheen, so why are his stans? Focus on him, and him alone. Bringing up others’ faults is not going to make CB look better.

  53. Bruce May 1, 2010

The guy from the radio station is right. If Chris had some serious hits, then those records would definitely be played on the radio station. R. Kelly came back hard after his scandal with The Chocolate Factory. Chris doesn’t have anything like that. The closest thing to a hit was I Can Transform You. Seriously, everything else is too winy and sing-songy, not a true radio hit. Try Again!

  54. JUST SAYING/ME May 1, 2010

    @ YOUPUTTHELIME

So if people started messing with your money and still kept at it for over a YEAR,, you’d feel it was ok and wouldn’t get upset? That’s not easily angered. At all. Hell, people get murdered over far less money than what these radio stations are costing Chris, by playing moral police, yet ONLY with him. THAT’s where the frustration comes in. ONLY HIM. If it was normal for radio stations to not play the music of people who’ve been in trouble before, no one could really get upset or be surprised. But, that’s not the case. It’s ONLY this kid. ONLY. Makes no sense.

  55. JUST SAYING/ME May 1, 2010

    @ BRUCE

Did R Kelly come back hard by not having his music played on the radio? No. His music was played. THAT is the point. If it wasn’t played, it wouldn’t have gotten the chance to become a hit. Maybe it helped that he was a veteran and had dirt on a lot of djs (since they helped him sabotage Joe). WHatever the case is, HIS MUSIC WAS PLAYED AND REPEATED ON THE RADIO. Name an artist whose new music was banned from radio who came back “so hard” and there would be more of a comparison.

  56. JUST SAYING/ME May 1, 2010

    A little OFF TOPIC :

Just thought I’d point out that so many of us dont care that a black kid is being held to higher standards and punished more harshly than white “offenders”. DOnt even want the hypocritical treatment pointed out. That’s a holdover from slavery. Not sticking together. White s**** owners tactics worked SO WELL, that we are still dealing with the effects today and GUESS WHAT? They are trying it again with the Immigrants.

“Under the ban, sent to Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer by the state legislature Thursday, schools will lose state funding if they offer any courses that “promote the overthrow of the U.S. government, promote resentment of a particular race or class of people, are designed primarily for students of a particular ethnic group or advocate ethnic solidarity instead of the treatment of pupils as individuals.”

    Taken from Huffington Post

  57. Leesy May 1, 2010

    I agree with X,Y,”AND Z”.

Personally, they need to get over it. & that DJ had no right telling Chris that. We already acknowledged the fact that he and Rihanna got into it, let the man move tha hell on wid his career.

  58. shay May 1, 2010

The dj interviewing him is the one that was wrong. He was being disrepectful and thats why he got suspended.Dont believe me check his twitter.
Chris was there to talk about the benefit concert hes giving for haiti not to talk about his music, the dude was tryna be slick.Chris could have handle it different but dude only played the part that made chris look bad,not what he said to make chris react that way.Jive did their job,of coures they apologized,But if the dj was right he wouldnt have gotton suspended.
The dj just wanted attention and he got that along with almost losing his job

  59. shay May 1, 2010

P.S chris did two other interviews that day and they went great. He didnt bring up his music he talked about the VA concert benefit. The dj’s brought up his music, and what they play and what they dont, ect. and they had great conversations and chris didnt strom out and get mad because they were respectful about how they said it.My mom always say its not what u say but how u say it.

Chris make good music , I still don’t understand why radios don’t wanna play his music
It’s been a year ago , he’s just 20 he deserves a new chance because he’s very talented , people should forgive him

  62. geronimo May 1, 2010

Nothing new to chris, he will survive.

    Go chris

  63. newsflash haters May 1, 2010

but the point is that chris was getting angry and out of control even before people started messing with his money, so that right there is an excuse. you can tell by chris’s attitude that he is someone who is used to getting what he wants, and if its not happening he looses it and flys off the handle. he need to know how to practice controlling his emotions, and knowing how to not come across as the angry black man. This is proving that his anger management classes haven’t worked and he’s very likely to go off on someone seriously again.

  64. X,Y,”and Z” May 1, 2010

    –>> Con’t…

I’m telling y’all, the Charlie Sheen trial, IF-there’s-one; if he’s NOT going to cop-to-that-Felony, as that Aspen DA, wants-him-to, will ‘shine-a-light’ in ALOT-of-folks-eyes! …Don’t believe me? …Well, look at all of the ‘grumblings and SSE’s’ that entire Ben Rothlesberger-fiasco generated: the unavoidable-and-obvious, mention-and-comparison to Michael Vick’s jail sentence. “Big Ben got off”: no-criminal charges; Michael Vick went to jail!!

…You can’t ‘fight-dogs,’ but you sure-as-hell can sexually-assault women; NOT ONCE, but SEVERAL-TIMES, as “Big Ben” has!!!! Roger Gadell (sp) the NFL’s Commissioner HAD to suspend him; HE HAD TO!

I”m telling y’all, I’m just HOPING-AND-PRAYING for Charlie to “feel-his-pair,” and for THIS, to go-to-trial! After ‘Bond Girl’ – his X-wife, Denise Richards, and several of his OTHER X-girlfriends: one-after-the-other, are paraded, one-after-the-other, to take the witness stand and testify, as to Charlie’s character, or lackthereof, I’m sure Hollywood’s Golden Boy, who just happens to be TV’s HIGHEST PAID ACTOR, and Golden Globe winner, will FORCE us, YES…”US”, to rethink who is “deserving,” and who is NOT!!

  68. X,Y,”and Z” May 1, 2010

@gucci — NOT by a long-shot! …IT’s called TALENT; he-has, most-don’t! …Same s*** they said ’bout RKelly, and like-it-or-not, HE’S the King of R&B! …And no, I don’t have any of HIS music, to tell the truth, I don’t know WHAT to make ’bout that entire drama with him and his “Urinal Proclivities!” …That said, if Kelly wasn’t, Trey Songz wouldn’t be trying to come for/at R.Kelly! I don’t know, but Kelly has ‘catalogs-of-music’, (he) ‘don’t have to say a word at/to/for Trey Songz….

Now, talking ’bout “careers being over,” let’s talk Ms. Fenty’s current tour …..”$0.99-Tickets”, anyone…..????

  69. X,Y,”and Z” May 1, 2010

I mean, don’t y’all see what REALLY happened? That DJ, whatever his name is, he “took food out of the mouths of Haitian children” – REAL TALK!

Wasn’t Chris there to promote a concert, and THOSE proceeds were to go to the Children of Haiti? I really hope that radio station’s manager/program-director realizes this. Do THEY want to be labeled as, at the very-least: ‘insensitive-to-the-needs-of-the-victims, of the worst-natural disaster yet-seen, in THIS Hemisphere, in a generation?’

Is that radio station promoting insensitivity, intolerance and dare-I-say … racism? Isn’t Jessie James’ now-revealed Nazism – and HIS wife: Sandra Bullock’s use of that “supposed-now-adopted” black-infant, as Ms. Bullock’s obvious “career-saving PR-prop,” not-enough of a condemnation-and-demonstration, of-our-lacking, in the most-basic of humanity?

…But then again, we’re ‘twisted’, aren’t we? We ‘condemn-and-jail dog-fighters,’ but we excuse (wink-and-nod) those who REPEATEDLY sexual assault women, now don’t we?

  70. ~TeAM WeeZY~ May 1, 2010

I think CB knew he was wrong for what he did, however, I think there was some good reason to why he did. I just think his PR needs some major improvement.

First he stayed in the public eye immediately after the incident, then he did a ‘teleprompter’ apology, then he did a terrible interview with Larry King, and then he releases his album just 10 months after the incident occurred (which was not long enough IMO). Not to mention him on the radio begging us fans to request his songs and now this. He should stay as humble as possible while going through what he’s going through. It only sparks the frustration when he does something like this to prove a point.

Now I do agree with him, that there is no reason they should not be playing his music. I mean I hear NOTHING from CB when I listen to the radio. There is far worse music that gets airplay on the radio, which is ridiculous.

I do think that this DJ is dumb as hell. How could he release the pre-interview, in which he didn’t release it in its entirety. Then days after the incident, he’s tweeting about it AFTER Jive records AND CB apologized. Not sure if he’s attempting to gain publicity from this but either way he’s ridiculous and I think he should be at least suspended.

But I still wish CB can bounce back from all this. I think he should take a long break from EVERTHING!!!!

  71. malyeh May 1, 2010

Discover Graffiti : it’s says HITS for me and a lot of people.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JG0ghBdIyG0

They’re just boycotting him everywhere >>> that’s why there are not hits.

And think that by leaving the radio, it did the right thing, he didn’t lost his temper and just went away. That’s a great move.

  72. Darren May 1, 2010

not surprised. hasnt anyone noticed yet that this gutter rat has a bad temper ?

  73. Gucci May 1, 2010

Why is it that the CB stans can never stay on topic? Here we are clearly talking about an incident that involved Chris, but they blame everyone under the sun for this rather than Chris.
First the DJ, then Rihanna, then Sandra Bullok, then Charlie Sheen, then black people…

It’s becoming sort or ridiculous. How many excuses are you going to make before reality hits you? It’s his own fault. He has NO HIT singles for the radio to play at the moment. And even if you were being blackballed, acting like a child and throwing a tempter tantrum at a radio DJ only cements the fact that you are the d***** bag everyone thinks you are. You stans keep trying to throw everyone else’s name in the dirt and refuse to hold Chris responsible for his complete ignorance. People will NEVER get over the situation if he keeps getting this kind of press by acting foolish in public.

XYZ, sweetie you are always bringing up 30 people who have nothing to do with Chris Brown to prove NOTHING. You’ve been yapping about Charlie Sheen, Harvey Levin, and Rihanna for months but has it lifted Chris’ sinking career? NOPE. Wasn’t it you who assured me that Chris Brown would be back on top this summer? And didn’t I say I would come back and make you look stupid?

SUCK ON THAT, sweetheart. It’s over. Let’s hang it up and move on.

  74. Jermaine May 1, 2010

Chris is the biggest “JACK-ASS” IN THE INDUSTRY… He had sOOOOOO much “media training” after the Rihanna “incident” that murdered his popularity… I can’t believe the C*** did it “AGAIN”… His anger issues are “DEEP” and he still hasn’t addressed them, and this is why he finds it necessary to confront dj’s, and other industry ppl for his own failures. He has systematically destroyed his own career, and he makes African-American males look bad.. and im say’n that because i am an african-american/latino male, and we all ready have enough stress in society to deal with. I for one will never support chris until he takes time out and realize he his seriously mess-up, and needs medication.

  75. Jermaine May 1, 2010

@X,YZ… Why are u always riding CB d*CK??? I mean damn u have been defending his horrifying behavior since he beat up rihanna. You never stick to topic, and u find a million excuses for him instead of realizing and blogging that your “idol” needs serious therapy! I’m tellin you chris is going to end up without a contract… I’m surprised JIVE has tolerated him this long. And everyone knows if he loses his deal with JIVE his career is over.. No major record label will touch him.. Especially since he seems to not give a damn about his own career.

Rihanna may not be perfect, but the best thing she did was DROP this ass. Chris is Crazy!

  76. X,Y,”and Z” May 1, 2010

    @Darren — Coming from a Rihanna-stan, that’s a bit hypocritical – at best!

@Gucci — Didn’t you take notice? …Well, if you didn’t: Chris HAS talent; Rihanna has none!

He won’t be down-and-out for long. And talking about “career-over”, we’ve YET to discuss “talent”; “opportunities-given/opportunities-lost” … I can offer no-more a-shining-example; no-more a-fact-in-actuality than Ms. Robyn Fenty! What a wasted opportunity; what a squandering of-a-chance!

    The fact NOW-realized: Rihanna NOW has all-of-her (former)allies, turning-against-her!
    1.) Perez Hilton.
    2.)Sandra Rose.
    3.)The commentators/bloggers of TMZ (YT).

….Yup; it’s unanimous: ‘your Rihanna’ is no-longer ‘darling of the media,’ the public watched, with bated-breath, her 20/20 interview and saw her for what she REALLY is: A liar; an-opportunist; a-charlatan and a fraud, who used, any-and-everyone, she could to promote her CD; dying-little girls, withstanding!
Let us “find common-ground”, Rihanna has NO talent, as compared to Chris. The best that she can NOW hope for: ‘convince’ Matt K ,she’s “worthy” and ‘push-out’ some of HIS babies. I can guarantee this: come, summer’10-end, she’ll no-longer be-welcomed at Def Jam!

Chris is talented; most-of-all: THAT, buys-HIM-time, something Rihanna has ‘NEITHER-luxury’, nor inkling!

This is HOW this summer will “play out”: Chris, EVEN-given his lack of ‘radio-play’ will do HIS World Tour. If he does 1/2 of what he had ALREADY done(in past tours), that’d be a success! If he does 1/4 of what YOU, as Team-Fenty, charter-member, claims, I’d consider that a rousing-and-resounding success.

Summer 2010: the season of great-expectations and bitter-disappointments!

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT!!

  77. Symone May 1, 2010

I just want to say that I will be seeing Chris tonight!!!!!!….Flew out to Vegas with Grand Pops to see the fight and I was told that Chris will be singing the national anthem!!!!!!….. I really wanted to see the fight because this will be my first fight seen live with Grand Daddy but Chris being here is just SUPREME!

To all my fellow Chris Brown fans, let these people infested with the MISERABLE gene continue to be miserable about Chris Breezy because hey that is what they do best! The truth speaks for itself. The REAL fact is that a white OLDER man like Sheen actions are overlooked because he is the benefactor of White privelege. ….White racists will always judge Chris because they have a track record of always looking at the flaws of others while ignoring their own. Then you have Blacks who also seem to do the same because they worship ‘Whites’……You see, there is nothing a racist or a Black follower to White racism can say to justify why THEY judge Chris for his one issue with his ABUSER .Yet,the very people that judge Chris are mute on what a White man with a REAL history of abuse has done. Both groups look like MASSIVE fools because they are actually dumb enough to think they aren’t transparent especially Blacks that MAKE EXCUSES for Sheen, that tells you they are a TOTAL JOKE!

    BTW…The DJ got suspended ( ^ – ^ ) Smiles from Vegas,got to go!

I’ve noticed that you, and your fellow ‘Camp-Fenty fanatics’ are preoccupied with the your fellow-bloggers, sexual likes-and-dislikes! …Why is that?

…And if you didn’t know: Homosexuality is a sin! Given your “social-affiliations” I can only assume that you’re bound for eternal damnation, when YOU, are-to-be-judged, by YOUR maker!
Given a distant-chance; given remote-possibility; I’ll again reiterate: I DON’T think Chris “just-beat-up” Rihanna. If THAT, was the case, Chris would “just-NOW be in Jail!”
And because Chris, refused to be used, as someone’s doormat/punching bag, he’s now, as you’ve defined him; a “bad example” for African American/Black/Minority-men?!?!?

I ONLY want justice: might the Sun NOT spite me by-Day, nor the Moon, by Night! If others are afforded opportunity-after-opportunity; redemption-after-redemption; I-too want the same: no-more, no-less, but-ONLY: the-same!

  90. k-n May 1, 2010

    @SYMONE

So black people should defend Chris Brown because he’s black. That is the b******* that keeps black folks down in society, not YT. This avoidance of self-critique in the black community as a way of “sticking it to the MAN” Give me a f****** break. The reason why Chris is treated more harshly is because he had a squeaky clean image & beat up his pretty superstar girlfriend, and he is black. He should’ve known that was a deadly combination. Charlie Sheen never had a clean image and never made a living singing love songs to teenage girls. CB’s behavior after the incident was inexcusable. GET OVER IT!! He’s an ignorant, low class child who blames others for his stupid mistake. No amount of whining from CB or his fans is gonna revive his career. He should’ve f****** DISAPPEARED after Chrihannagate but he loves attention to much.

  91. k-n May 1, 2010

    @SUNDAIE

More like co-sign Black people defending other black people’s b******* behavior. With that logic, blacks should defend Michael Vick, R. Kelly, O.J. Simpson, Bobby Brown, the list goes on.

  92. Ben May 1, 2010

I think both the interviewer and Chris were wrong on their behalf. We all know the real reason why the station isn’t playing his records. They would be hits if they were played on radio right? It could be a s***** song, but because Browns name is on it, it would be a hit(minus incident). And one doesn’t start off an interview yelling and cursing right off the bat, especially when you have millions of listeners that still can’t get past February 2009. Does your career future mean anything to you? Yes, it is unfair that the nation refuses to move on at the moment, and yes it is unfair that the woman you assaulted probably laid the first hit and nobody assumes that was the case, and if it were, it would be considered fair game to most, NO IT AIN”T FAIR. But that is how it is. Maybe you should have just laid low for a moment.

  93. RihannasClit May 1, 2010

DJ: Is it even anywhere on the charts?

    Chris: Yeah.

DJ: What number is it at?

She didn’t even call the police on his cheating, abusive ass.. some bystander did.. May all you that are defending this punk get knocked in the eyeball with the worlds biggest FIST so I can laugh at you and start a blog about how you deserved it!!!

  95. Gucci May 1, 2010

    @k-n

PREACH HONEY! You took the words right out of my mouth. SMH. This is what the black community has amounted to! Complete IGNORANCE! Just because he is black doesn’t mean I, nor anyone else should ignore his foolish behavior…and i’m not even talking about “the incident” I’m talking about all of his actions afterward. From twitter rants, to Larry King, to radio interviews. Everything he kept doing and saying was f****** stupid. case closd. The logic some people will use to defend this dumbass is so ridiculous and annoying. I’ve never heard a Chris Brown fan admit that he was wrong. NOT ONCE. Everything he does gets blamed on 200 other people. XYZ is the shinning example of this. He answers not one question directly and brings all of these other people into the discussion. If he responds to this comment, I can almost guarantee he will say something about Rihanna, Rihanna’s personal trainer, Harvey Levin, Charlie Sheen, R Kelly, or SOMEONE ELSE. He always makes some ridiculous, correlation to a completely UNRELATED topic. This is the reason people STILL don’t like Chris Brown. His psychotic, retarded fans. HE KNEW that being black was a liability in the white mainstream media, more of a reason for him to keep his f****** hands to himself.

  96. Haters Please take a day off!! May 1, 2010

I am from Richmond and I heard the interview . The DJ edited the video to make make it sound worse. They set him up. Kash is always bashing Chris, and he used this as an oppportunity to rile him. Chris was there to talk about the benefit concert in Richmond and the DJ quickly used this as an opportunity to take shots at him for his album sales. He
Then the DJ kept tweeting about it The DJ WAS fired because of his lack of professionalism. He was condescending and to very rude Chris. Even listeners were calling in saying Kash was actng like a jackass!

Chris did two other radio shows in Richmnd for Power 92.1 and 106.5 and he was great! He spoke with listensers and gave prizes away. His show is almost sold out.

For all the people saying his career is over, he starts his European tour in May and his film comes out in August.. He is also singing the National Anthem for the Mayweather v. Mosley fight. Get over it! He’s not going anywhere!

@Haters Please take a day off!!

Sweetie, he needs a voice coach. His interviewing skills are horrendous, so please save it. The DJ wasn’t fired, and he explained that he edited the clips because there was a lot of dead noise and silence between sentences. You can’t “edit” something to sound worse if we can CLEARLY HEAR Chris being a jackass. I don’t see how it is disrespectful to defend yourself when someone comes into YOUR radio station and says things like “how come you don’t play my s***.” All he asked him was what hit records he currently had, and we can clearly hear Chris flipping out about it. His career actually IS over sweetie. His tour is going to flop like his album, and the film that he is an EXTRA in doesn’t even allow him to promote it. No joke. The film makers know if he goes out to promote the film, he’s going to f*** it up like he does everything else.

DOES ANYONE ELSE find it IRONIC that he is singing at a BOXING MATCH? Uhg. It’s just too easy these days, Chris. You’ve fallen so damn far and you will NEVER get up.

@Gucci — If that DJ was “so innocent” and as ‘pure-as-driven-snow’, then why’d THAT radio station NOW suspend him?

And, as-far-as, him singing at a boxing match, so what? Do YOU know how-many-millions will be watching that sporting event? …It’s like, you’re logic is so contorted-and-mangled; it’s YOU who-obfuscates; it’s YOU who-deflects, and it’s YOU who-refuses to even acknowledge the VERY-obvious! Please, can you tell me, if Chris had punched Rihanna, as you seem to think he did, then why was HE-not-charged, with Battery?
When YOU get-a-chance, please; go and read the California Penal Code; ‘see how “Assault” is defined; see “Battery” is defined!

…And Chris, needing coaching; of ANY-SORT?!?! ….Huh? Are-YOU-kidding? Why not get a “coach”, to teach Rihanna some “financial responsibility”, so you don’t have folks suing HER for “THEFT OF SERVICES?” …You do know that-that $30K is STILL outstanding, don’t you?

Why NOT have Rihanna “coached” before HER interviews:
    Rhianna, how are you?
    I like big d****!
    Rihanna, how is Matt K?
    I like big d****!
    Rihanna, how’s the family?

    …..BIG D****! <<— A-Duh!!

    Oh, and let's NOT fail-to-include "my-fav": Rhianna, not-even, "feeling-the-need", to get coaching, as-far-as, HER education! You do realize that SHE'S A HIGH SCHOOL DROP-OUT! <<–HER very-own-words, NOT MINE; NO-ONE ELSE'S: RIHANNA'S!

    And you talk 'bout Ironic, if-not-confounding, if-NOT assaulting of/to one's-intelligence: Rihanna's writing a book?!?!? <<— That's BEYOND comical, it's tragic….

So Rihanna was out-and-about, today in Paris. And where were the Paparazzi TOLD to photograph your-beloved Riri? …Why in a s**-shop, of-course!
Rihanna, on-her "ho-stroll", trying to 'drum-up' interest for her flagging concert/tour. Ain't quite "living-up" to all-a-that hype, now is it?
    Rihanna, out-and-about, on-HER "ho-stroll", in Paris; IN PARIS,no-less! …In a s**-shop, STILL: "selling-p****!"
I guess I can't fault, nor-blame-her, she's not-very good at anything else, now is she? She tried to show "depth-of-character" with that horrid, and yet-STILL-misunderstood 'Rated R', but it didn't go-over-too-well, now did it? …No, it didn't!

And to close, if y'all want "ironic", if-not "telling": Lady Gaga gets, and is pictured on, a Time Magazine cover with President Clinton; Rihanna get's pictured too, but she's in a s**-shop, buying "toys" and STILL avoiding those "H***** rumors!" <<—Yes, Ironic; tragically-comical; real-and-sobering; and "telling, if-not-foreboding!" …That will be Rihanna in 5-years time: Broke, Washed-up,"S**-riddled" and bitter, working in the adult-industry. Putting the ONE-AND-ONLY "skill-set" she has, to any "good-use!"

Stop making excuses fr Chris Brown… he got off lightly. If Rihanna was my daughter he wouldnt be walking far less talking!

The world will keep on spinning with or without his whiny voice singing s*** to teeny bopper hood women and their gay friends .

Cant he just GO AWAY for a year or two!!!!

  103. bluekid May 2, 2010

@ Mez, you have gotten your a** beat numerous times and the ni66a is still sleeping with you so STFU!

  104. bluekid May 2, 2010

Chris Brown is here to stay he has talent and he can dance. He is one of the few artists today that has true showmanship. I do not know anybody that can out dance him, outside Michael Jackson. Chris Brown is a shining star and when he is on stage it’s electrifying, when he on stage his presents sends out rays of stomach ranching electric that can’t be explain and when he dance and sings it’s on! If you never seen him perform then you have missed out and you can’t say much about this man talent because you really don’t know. There is no one, I do mean no one, not Kane, or Jayz, and no one can beat his stage performances other than Michael Jackson. Chris Brown is over the top! I saw for my self with my own eyes, it’s no wonder Michael Jackson had to meet him; Chris Brown is over the top in stage performance.

  105. bluekid May 2, 2010

Mez, you daddy got off lightly when he beat your mother, now that was lightly. There are men who never did a day of jail or probation and have beat a woman nearly to death. You go right ahead with all your lies and pretending that you devil queen can sing Lawd knows when her time comes to pay it will be hard.

  106. bluekid May 2, 2010

Chris Brown is on his way up! The devil is a lie and the devil can have Rihanna and her voodoo. Chris Brown, mother has dug his under ware from Rihanna backyard and Chris Brown will be doing just fine the voodoo curse is no longer on him.

  107. mez May 2, 2010

Blue KID aka X Y and Zero…poor you….. so he can dance… big whopeee! so he iw a star big whopeee …he should apply for ‘Dancing on the stars ‘ then

Thanks for proving my point, honey. Just as I said you would. You keep talking about all of these other artists and holding Chris responsible for NOTHING. In your mind, everything he has done is right? Please explain why you fail to answer direct questions. You spend so much time trying to bring up Rihanna that you fail to realize that Chris’ career is in turmoil due to his OWN ridiculous behavior. He’s cocky, arrogant, and he surely doesn’t give a f*** about you so I don’t even understand why you are so far up his ass.

  110. mez May 2, 2010

Cosign Gucci… Xit, Yugly and Zero is quite pathetic really…. She doesnt realise that her continual rants pro Chrs B and anti rihanna make her look like a fukking lonley loser stan.

XYZ…it must really rile you that Rihanna is moving on with her life while Cnris B is still the immature man-child…

Its fans like you that make him think that the world revolves around him….

Poor baby… you need to call him up and tell him you want some and show him how hard youve been working for him… LOL

  111. Suumi May 2, 2010

….i think chris is an immature kid. plain and simple. just because you have a name doesnt mean you’re always going to have hits. make it or break it. i believe his life would also be easier if he hadnt beaten rihanna.

  112. Bobby D May 2, 2010

    his career is over.

  113. Mrs. Brown May 17, 2010

All I got to say is it’s just bullsh*t like he said. I mean the man had a reason to be angry. I’m not saying that it was wasn’t wrong. He just expressing how he felt. I would mad if they weren’t playing my sh*t either. They really should play some of his songs off of his In My Zone mixtape. It’s classic R&B, Hip Hop, I like it. Other people should just give it a try for once. That’s all I’m asking.
