Christina Aguilera made her first live promotional performance of 2010 on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ today. The singer performed the 1st single from her ‘Bionic’ album, ‘Not Myself Tonight’, which has thus far peaked at #23 on the Billboard Hot 100. ‘Bionic’ hits stores on June 8th. I agree with those who noticed and/or will admit that she doesn’t sound as good as she use to. She still obviously has a strong voice but I think she has a temporary decrease in stamina because of her break. As for the song I think it’s just okay.

Well, for the fact that the theatrics were quite eye-catching and and the music most probably sounded great live, one who wa s present for that live taping would have said that is sounds great. But really, her vocals were a little off-putting. The performance wasn’t bad, and I didn’t expect her to dance that much anyway because she’s not known to be the choreography-kind. But her vocals seem unrested and overused, and she keept doing the grumbling thing whenever she tried to hit a a note or something. I’m not good in the mechanics of music, but I’m pretty sure that when that happens, one can tell that there’s something a little weird with her vocals. But generally, I still like the song and the video to a much lesser extent. Hope things goes well with this album though.
P.S. I hate that hair too. Haha. Just saying. It might’ve worked during her Back to Basics era, but I’m not sure it still does now. Still, I’m just saying.
