If chemistry could book jobs, Zendaya and Robert Pattinson would have an agent.
The duo finally sat down for their first joint interview about ‘The Drama,’ director Kristoffer Borgli’s twisted romance that sees the pair play lovers spiraling in spectacular fashion.
Full story below…
Fresh off filming Christopher Nolan‘s ‘The Odyssey’ and Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune: Part Three,’ the actors chatted with Interview Magazine with unfiltered honesty about the film.
Pattinson, calling in caffeinated from vacation, admitted promoting the film feels surreal, saying:
“It’s rare to have the pre-production period we had on this, where we’re really discussing and arguing about it. It does make you feel pretty invested in the end product, and I think that’s why it makes it more difficult to promote it, because I don’t know what I would say about this movie to make someone go and watch it. I think it’s going to be entirely dependent on how they react to the trailer.”
Zendaya, meanwhile, summed up the chaos of early press perfectly, saying:
“The theme was I don’t know.”
She also noted how quickly she was drawn to ‘The Drama’ from the first read, she shared:
“I usually know pretty quickly if I want to do something or not when I read a script. I read this one and was like, ‘Yeah I want to do this’.”
One thing’s certain, whatever ‘The Drama’ is, romance, meltdown, or bot,h their chemistry is undeniable. The film is set to release on April 3.
