Would MJ’s “Thriller” been as “epic”, as-far-as-sales, if MJ didn’t bleach HIS skin? I ain’t buying MJ’s excuse – that supposed skin-sickness, not for one minute – neither was Quincy Jones, who knew him, better than most of MJ’s very-own family!
Loves – It seems you believe in “pie in the sky when you die!” …Do you know why most OTHER races surpass those-of-us who are of African descent/extraction? … Because they “look-out-for-their-very-own,” BEFORE OTHERS!! Is that bias, discriminatory, racist? … MAYBE, but-in-the-end, “they’re getting ahead”, and-we’re-NOT!
Whites won’t support “a thing” … ANYTHING, if they don’t see themselves “in/of it”. Is that not, “hating-on”/”hateful” …?? Are they being ….”hateful”, or are they not exercising the most basic; the essential basis of survival, if not prosperity: AWARENESS/LOVE OF SELF …??
Loves, you see, EVEN-IF we were to “hate”/”hate-on”, who-more-so-than-us, to have said right? Who, more-than-us, have contributed more to culture, religion, the-arts?
A black man can NEVER be a racist, and if HE were smart, he’d-do-as-YT-do: look out for/at HIS-OWN before-he gives-to/shares-with-others. This includes all-things economic, cultural and even black/black interactions!
I could go on; this is not a conclusion I’ve “just happened-upon”, no! I’ve read, chronicled – unflinchingly and long studied!
Let me leave you with this – I recently watched, via the ‘net, youtube I believe, an episode of a Black Journalist’s show – Tony Brown’s Journal. He told a simple story/an-illustration-of-sorts, if-you-will, to which I believe “sums-up OUR EXISTANCE”: A black man owns a store, he hires good-folk from the neighborhood to work in said establishment. A white man THEN opens up a store – across-the-street, selling the very-same goods/service. That black entrepreneur begins to loose business, to-that-said, white store owner. One day, he stops a black patron, who was entering said white owner’s store, and asks him “why are you supporting this store? I was here first, my store is even cleaner and my prices are competitive, if-not-lower. I live in this neighborhood and hire folks FROM this neighborhood?” … ‘Said black patron THEN says: “Cause I didn’t want him to think WE’RE racist!!!” <—Thus-there-in, ends-the-parable! Its truths are disquieting/uncomfortable/difficult to hear – if not painful!
