Though the track boasts a musically maturer sound from Ne-Yo, it’s a bit of a snoozer.
I’m actually beginning to worry about ‘Libra Scale’; the first single ‘Beautiful Nightmare’ is atrocious, and the material heard since isn’t far removed. Here’s hoping the album delivers, as Ne-Yo is quite consistent on the LP front.

Whats going on with Ne-Yo? He usually slays me everytime! Didn’t like “Beautiful Monster” and I damn sure don’t like this *sigh*….maybe next song, who knows….
Sounds Typical. Its Generally just O.K (like most of his music). Too much talking at the beginning for me. Kinda Lame really but i like the Beat. Neyo’s newer material sounds 2nd Rate to me. Hate to say I but He needs to be a little more selfish with his music, He’s giving all the good stuff to Rihanna dem & not saving anything for himself. & Why does his newer material remind me of Pharrel??

So true, with Ne-yo trying to sing like MJ! I’ve noticed this for a while actually and when he doesn’t go this route he delivers lame dance tracks. It doesn’t sound good on him. He needs to listen to his first album and draw some inspiration from that. He was good at one time, now he’s stuck in a rut.

It’s definitely better than Beautiful Nightmare. It’s good but I wouldn’t make me interested in hearing the rest of the album.

neyos songs were never good according to my opinions, but i found myself quite liking beautiful monster…but this song…urm…just sucks…i think it is a demo for michael jackson or something..

See. The problem is… Once people get used to hearing dumbed down music, they just don’t recognize good music when it’s being played. A good song is a good song. Period. So, if it sounds like something that Michael Jackson might have done, well… need I say anymore? No. But I will… If you like Neo’s voice, he sounds just like “himself” on this track. So ummm, I don’t get the criticism.
This is what is referred to as a “feel good” song or “feel good” music. It wasn’t really meant for the club. It’s for when you are feeling really good, and riding in your car on a bright sunny day, with the top down.
And no, I don’t work for Ne-Yo, or his label, or his management. I just know good music when I hear it. Let’s wait and see!!! – Bringing it Back!
I want to give Ne-Yo mad props for this song . The vibe and beat to this song is so s*** to me I could really feel it. When I first heard it on the radio I had to find out who this was and now I know. Do You Ne-Yo !!!! I’m feeling ya!

GREAT song, people don’t know good music when they hear it. They rather have more generic sounding crap. This song sounds different from what’s on the radio. And he doesn’t sound that much like MJ on this track. He sounds like MJ a lot more on “What Have I Done” which is an amazing song regardless. If you liked MJ why wouldn’t you like a track that sounds like MJ? It makes NO sense at all.
