Quickly abandoned (in some part due to the global health crisis as well), the era’s successor – 2021’s ‘Justice’ – has proven in more ways than one it’s picking up the slack.
As if five of its singles being certified Gold or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) isn’t enough to boast (‘Hold On’ – Gold, ‘Holy’ – Platinum, ‘Lonely’ – Platinum, ‘Anyone’ – Platinum, ‘Peaches’ – Platinum), the tunes’ parent album – ‘Justice’ – is now Platinum as well just three months after its release. The measure denotes sales equivalence of 1 million copies in the United States.
With the certification upgrade, the project becomes Bieber’s sixth consecutive studio album (eighth body of work overall) to be certified Platinum or higher.
It follows the successes of the ‘My World’ EP (3x Platinum) and ‘Never Say Never: The Remixes’ compilation album (1x Platinum) as well as studio projects ‘Changes’ (1x Platinum), ‘Under the Mistletoe’ (2x Platinum), ‘Believe’ (2x Platinum), ‘My World 2.0’ (4x Platinum), and ‘Purpose’ (5x Platinum).
