The video for R. Kelly‘s World Cup anthem, ‘Sign of A Victory’, made its debut today. Featuring South Africa’s Soweto Spiritual Singers, the video depicts Kelly’s ambassadorial trip to the African nation ahead of the games.

A decent enough clip for what it was. I must say, though, that the song grows on me more and more with each play. That’s why one has to give props where props are due: R. Kelly can hit us with adult-themed songs, yet flip the script and drop inspirational numbers such as this, ‘I Believe I Can Fly’, ‘U Saved Me’, and countless others.
Randomness: Does anyone else find it weird that R. Kelly was riding high on the charts DURING his court case, yet as soon as he was acquitted, folk seemed to lose interest? Things that make you go hmmm….

I really dont think it was the court case that had his sales riding high..TP2, Trapped in the Closet, and Chocolate Factory are classic albums/projects an the material that is/has been releasing as of late jus is not standing the par compared to his previous work….what he has been releasing isnt bad but its just not as great …. that is what hurt his sales I honestly feel his fans an the public can care less about him pissing on girls at this point they have moved on to hate Chris Brown now

and Grape Juice – Folks are just waiting for him to release some good music. During his trial he sold really well and got many hits because he made good music. His last album had a few good songs plus he didn’t have much promo from his label. If he got a lot of promo like he did in the past then it would’ve done well.
