Ciara has decided to release her ‘Basic Instinct’ album a week ahead of schedule. The record, which was originally carded for an August 24th debut, has been moved up to August 17th. Check out what Ciara had to say about the change below:

This is certainly a smart move by Ciara’s camp. With new material from the album surfacing on the web at an alarming rate, she needs to act swiftly to ensure that the record is released sooner rather than later. ‘Ride’ is enjoying heavy radio airplay and has been positioned in the top 10 (currently at #6) on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for quite some time. Hopefully it will surpass it’s present #53 peak on the Billboard Hot 100 and enjoy more mainstream support because it will definitely help ‘Basic Instinct’ to have a stronger impact on the charts when released.

This is more along the lines of what I was talking about a week ago – and someone had the nerve to call me a hater, even though I’ve been a Ci fan since day one.
But that just shows you the unbelievable stupidity of some on this site.
Anyway, this is great news. Pushing it forward is always a good move – and I want to see more performances of Ride, because it’s doing pretty well even without them. It could definitely be at least top 10 if Jive play their cards right.
I’m really looking forward to seeing her performances leading up to the album.
Ciara knows how to put on a show, she’s a real performer and her dancing on Ride was epic!!
