Melanie Fiona is already working on a new studio album, ‘The MF Life’. The R&B singer was backstage at the Essence Music Festival where she was engaged in an interview with Sound Savvy World and stated that the LP, which might feature a collaboration with John Legend, will have a “Stadium Soul” sound. Check out the full interview below:
Hopefully this album will feature Fiona taking her music to new heights. Thus far, she seems to have been playing it safe and delivering tracks quite similar to Alicia Keys. While that may have worked in her favour with the last record, Fiona will have to move to more creative plains if she wishes to keep her fans engaged. Here’s hoping that ‘The MF Life’ delivers.
Man, she started sounding like Keyshia Cole toward the middle of that performance. She got Andrea Martin that’s a good look. She writes great songs.
I love this girl but I think her album wasn’t that good, I am sure that she can do much better and I hope she really delivers
i hope that she sticks to the same formula as The Bridge, i think that it has been one of my best buys in ages. im still listening to the Lp, i just hope that he dosen’t change her sound (ie) do what the fofos are doing at the momen, i will be looking forward to buying it .
Melanie delivered a solid first album. @BrealK…yes she does sound like Keyshia Cole at times…like in her song “You Stop My Heart”. Can’t wait for this new album
I really love her style.
CANT WAIT
