Nicki Minaj is currently hard at work filming the video for her new single, ‘Your Love’, from her yet-to-be-named debut album. Between scenes the rapper spoke to MTV News and highlighted that the song, which is the 1st single by a female rapper (as a lead artist) in 8.5 years to hit #1 on the Billboard Rap chart, was actually not intended to be a single. WTF?? Why is Lil Kim’s name being brought up in this post? It has nothing to do with her! Nicki can be extra but I see a lot of potential in her and actually don’t mind her. I want her to succeed because she seems very nice, humble, sweet, and actually down-to-earth in her interviews. She’s definitely creative and different, but she does need her own identity and should stick to rapping naturally. I like “Your Love” because it has such a nice, catchy, cute R&B/Hip-Hop beat. Plus, it shows off her great singing vocals.
