  3. JDot August 17, 2010

One of the best pure R&B albums I have heard i a while.
I heard Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin and Issac Hayes samples and I am loving it.
I hope people give this album a real listen in spite of the mess Fantasia has going on right now.

  4. FUTURESTARdelux August 17, 2010

I ONLY PLAYED A COUPLE BUT “I’M DOIN ME” WAS MY FAVOURITE.

  5. klg0845 August 17, 2010

Beautiful R&B album. I hope this does well. I miss R&B in the mainstream. And no I don’t count Trey Songz.

  18. chips yummm August 17, 2010

I probably would have supported her if she wasnt such a h**

    Hope it flops

  19. Tiff August 17, 2010

I just really cant with her voice..
    I’am not enthused.

  20. chips yummm August 17, 2010

I agree, her voice is just too f***** ‘churchy’ along with J. Hud

  21. NUNYA August 17, 2010

Next to Monica and Jaheim, Fantasia have a damn good cd. And I just dont’ purchase anybody s*** either. Her cd is good and I’m not even finished listening to it, I have a couple more songs to listen to.

Regardless of her personal life, as i said before we don’t know what that man said to her and i’m pretty sure we’ll never know the full story but I wish Fantasia well and much more success.

NO ONE IN THIS WORLD IS PERFECT AND WE ALL HAVE DONE S*** THAT WE’RE NOT PROUD OF.

No matter if its big or small, a sin is a sin, just know that.

  22. NUNYA August 17, 2010

chips yumm, you must not support no one because EVERYONE IN THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD IS A SINNER

  23. annette August 17, 2010

    @nunya

Chips has never sinned. That’s why he/she can sit back and judge.

  24. Mileka August 17, 2010

Love Trust Him and Teach Me, they sound Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley-inspired. Hot album overall, welcome back ‘Tasia!

  25. pjayy August 17, 2010

    love it!!!

  26. chips yummm August 17, 2010

    @ Annette

Nope, never sinned to the point where i was f****** someone else’s husband

  27. annette August 17, 2010

There is no degree of sin. Sin is sin.

    Moving on…Her CD is fire!

  28. Dee August 17, 2010

Fantasia is an amazing performer. Heart & soul through and through. Love her and wish her the best and continued success! She’s a sweetheart!

  29. EXPOSED August 17, 2010

SOUNDS VERY SIMILAR TO MONICA’S RNB ALBUM WITH AN OLD SCHOOL TOUCH. SURPRISED, IT’S A LOT BETTER THAN HER CRAPTASTIC REALITY SHOW. LARRY JACKSON WAS RIGHT TO KEEP REJECTING HER CUTS UNTIL THEY WERE “LISTENABLE”. NOT BB HOT 100 S*** BUT SHOULD FAIR OK ON THE RNB CHARTS. THIS IS S*** YOU USED TO HEAR IN THE 70’S AND 80’S.

  30. EXPOSED August 17, 2010

WONT BUY THE ALBUM BUT A FEW TRACKS ARE DEF. DOWNLOADABLE ON LIMEWIRE. JUST SAYIN.

  31. Angiie August 17, 2010

Tasia went INNNNNN on this album. EVERY song has Single-potential! All these R&B chicks better get it together Quickly.. cus Tasia is NOT playin! Best R&B Album of the Year IMO

  34. anon August 17, 2010

  37. UGh August 17, 2010

    @ APRIL
hun, her name is Gabriel Union not Galliade unions……lol

I hope she release Teach Me as her next single. That s*** is fire

  38. keandre August 17, 2010

    its better than Monica’s album

  39. NUNYA August 17, 2010

Fantasia and Monica cd are neck and neck and I love Monica cd. No other female cd came close to hers but Fantasia went all out on this cd. Im so happy real music is back. Fantasia and Monica are doing it with their music. I love party songs but I also love substance and thats what im getting from both cds

@chips yumm, you still sinned no matter what. But I see how you said, you didnt do what Fantasia did. No matter big or small a sin is a sin. and you’ve sinner before. CASE CLOSED!!!!!!!!!

  40. Dru Rebel August 17, 2010

Love the song and the album….

  41. Geronimo Deuces August 17, 2010

    go tasia go

  42. Waddie G. August 17, 2010

This album ties Monica’s as the best R&B album of 2010…it’s too bad that Fanny had to resort to this recent publicity just to push this album…SMH!

  43. Quiana August 17, 2010

This is a very good cd I think I am going to get it.

  44. MrIncredible August 17, 2010

Despite it being good, I wont buy because I’m turned off by her recent publicity stunt. I’ll download it.

  45. MrIncredible August 17, 2010

i mean, its good.. but def not better than Monica’s Still Standing. #negative

  46. XDCLUSIVE August 17, 2010

some of y’all are fake as SH*T if you were going to buy it you will buy it. You know you lame when you trash talk someone, step on them and then bump their music…same happens with my girl Bey, Kanye and Kellz….no matter what you smal people in your small lives say or do they will do them and get that paper with their TALENT and *f*** what U say* mentality!

    STAY MAD!

  47. wtf August 17, 2010

it should do well due to the fact that bittersweet is a top ten hit, and if she wanna reach gold status she should also release a 2nd single which will also succeed in the charts.

  48. The Truth August 17, 2010

Monica and Fantasia’s CDs are very different while both are R&B one is more straight Urban and the other is more Retro/Old School both are good.

This is CD is very good. The Live String Arrangements in The Thrill Is Gone, Move On Me and Teach Me are really good. Collard Greens and Cornbread is straight FIYAH nice sample of Marvin Gay and Tammy Terrell’s Precious Love in the background.

I hope her next single is I’m Doing Me.

Another solid CD for Fantasia. Props to her because none of her CDs sound the same.

  49. TonyBeauX August 17, 2010

This album is pretty damn solid. Probably the best R and B album I have heard in a long time. I think Monica made a good comeback with a strong first single, but this Fanny album is more lively and I think a much better album. If Move on Me ain’t a hit to hell with these idiots for brains!

  50. antertain August 17, 2010

    Fantasia has a excellent album

Bittersweet, Collard Greens, Teach Me & Thrill Is Gone & The Worst Part Is Over are my current favs

  51. FavFame August 17, 2010

    Woooo i love Fantasia
This is a good album and looks like loads of people are drawn to the Collard Green song..

I put it in my top 5, even top 3 R&B albums

    1. Monica (she got classics: Everything, Love All Over Me, Mirror, Here I Am & Believe)
    2. Jahiem (his voice and consistancy is why i edge him over Fanny)
    3. Fantasia (songs i mentioned are real deep with smart lyrics)
    4. Trey Songz (Easy on the ear album, i liked it more than i wanted to)
    5. LeToya Luckett (good job on a slept on album. I like her’s more than Usher’s overall)

  52. TheYoungLion August 17, 2010

Monica slayed this homewrecka without a publicity stunt just good ol fashioned promo and marketing. Coontasia should take notes on how to remain a classy mother instead of a disgraceful hoodrat desperate for a n**.

Monica sings betta and her album is more current. Coontasia tryna take us back to slavery and negro spirituals. No massa we will progress NOT regress!!! Lucky should be her single so everybody know who the real Coontasia is and not that fake ass gospel s*** she been tryna fool us with.

  53. Khalil August 17, 2010

Let me start by saying this: GREAT JOB Fantasia. Good CD. Now as far as best R&B album of the year ummmm I think people are giving it a bit much. A little bit of over production is on this album. Some of the contents on this album if people listen closely talk directly to her current situation. The sad part is that if she did not get mixed up in sleeping with a married dude and it getting expose nobody would have been checking for this CD. Real recognize real…..period. And I’m a huge fan of hers, but I also keep it real!

But on a much better note, I am proud she is moving forward and putting out this CD. I think its good. I love how people like her and Monica are putting out authentic R&B music. Raw talent is always great. I hope she does well with this album. My favorite songs include “Man of the House,” “I’m Doin Me,” and “Trust Him.” Definitely worth my money!

  54. ALEX JAYE August 17, 2010

WHo’s lovin you is FIRE on WAX!!!!!

  55. JR August 17, 2010

First and foremost hands down this album is GREAT!. I love Fantasia and all her effort she put into this album. Despite all the personal s*** surrounding her life, this is a good album I wish people will recognize her talent and her album for what it is and not what is going on. It has an old school vibe which can help if promoted the right way. People are going to buy this anyway just because of the hype surrounding her.

Next ……as far as the “best” R&B album of the year, this is one of them. While I am a huge Fantasia fan, I cannot dismiss the grind and solid album of Monica. I love Fantasia, but Monica takes me there. Still Standing I can listen to that album from start to finish, including the bonus songs. Sorry cannot do that with Fantasia album. But again this is definitely good music and is one of the better albums of this year!

  56. kooper August 17, 2010

this is a fire ass cd the single choice of man of the house need to be scrapped ..

collard greens, teach me, move on me , who loving u, doin me .. all should be the next in line for the next single .. and LUCKY should be add to the cd as a bonus track and captilize hey if it work for miss URSHER it damn shole will rock for FANNY! I’m buying too bad it proably be slept on like letoya luckett cd .!

  57. MIKENBK August 17, 2010

    what happened to “ex you”

  58. ladyLOVE August 17, 2010

I ALWAYS LOVE TASIA I FEEL SHE GETS BETTER EACH TIME. I HOPE THIS ONE SELL.

  59. MrIncredible August 17, 2010

I prefer Monica’s album. Fantasia’s album is cute but it sounds dated. Monica’s album has a perfect mix of old school and contemporary sounding songs.

  60. JOE FRANCO August 17, 2010

FALLING IN LOVE TONIGHT IS AWESOME, I WANT TO BUY NOW!

  61. Robier August 17, 2010

love it. its good alll the way thru

  62. Renae August 17, 2010

Guess everyone will go out and grab the album since she tried to commit s****** huh????? I don’t get it, how can you be so depressed you are in the hospital but the next day you are photo’d with the same man you placed higher than you placed your daughter a couple years before. And yes if you tried to kill yourself due to him you think more of him than you do your child. Don’t know about this Fanny????

  63. stan August 17, 2010

“collard greens” is straight-up FIYAH. i see that people been playing that song too.

  64. stan August 18, 2010

i knew it was going be a decent album, I download it for free, i wont be buying it simply because her behavior sleeping with married men is against my moral codes.

  65. MR. STILL STANDING August 18, 2010

Bittersweet, Who’s Been Loving You, Move On Me, Teach Me, Trust Him, The Thrill Is Gone>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  66. Gjames August 18, 2010

I am straight up enjoying this album!!!!! Can’t wait to have all of the songs on my player.

For those comparing this album to Monica’s, why do we always have to do that? Don’t any of you have $26, i.e. to buy both if you enjoy them both? What a silly world we live in… Grow up, some of you and figure out that the market is big enough for Fantasia, Monica, J-Hud, Beyonce, Rihanna, Mary J, etc. without you all creating these rivalries that exist only in your heads.

Second, for you moralists on here, let he who is sinless cast the first stone. Perhaps some of you think Fantasia should have just rolled over after her hospital stay and said f$#% all of my commitments and all of the work I’ve done on this album. F#@$ moving my career forward despite the drama in my life…

You people are just plain ridiculous! And quite likely have precious little to show for your own lives.

    G.

  67. annette August 19, 2010

I bet all of these so-called “moral” sinless folks have every rapper’s CD put out. Didn’t TI just get out of jail for illegal possession of guns. Didn’t the “Camel” use to sale drugs?. Isn’t that short Little Wayne dude with the 50 million illegal kids still in jail?

  68. Sandy August 19, 2010

    Love it

  69. Junior in Jamaica August 19, 2010

“I’m Doing Me” needs to be a single NOW!!!!!!!!!!

  70. MuzikManiack August 20, 2010

I am in LOVE with this album! One of the BEST r&b albums I’ve heard in a llong time! And I just hate getting on here seeing so many negative comments about her personal life, like who are you to judge her and the things she does! But anyway I can’t wait until 8/24, because I’m buying like 3 copies of this!

  71. KJ August 20, 2010

Straight up Grammy hit! Totally musically entertaining from track 1 to track 12!!!!!!

  72. justbecause August 20, 2010

LOve it from track 1 to 12 I am buying this cd not one time but maybe 5 times. Well deserved, I praying that she get recognize for the work she has done. I alway say cast the first stone yea who without sin none bigger than the other. I pray that people will stop and think about her great talent and the beautiful made CD. Go Tasia !

  73. Candace August 20, 2010

Too funny. The same 3 Monica fans on here making comments under different names. Child, sit. Fantasia’s album is the best this year..can’t wait to get my hands on this album.

  74. Tre Willz August 20, 2010

OMG! I thought this was a good CD……but after listening this damn thing is FIRE!
I can’t pick a favorite…..SMH. And I was sure it was Collad Greens & Cornbread….but Teach Me, The Thrill Is Gone (Knocks me OUT), Falling in Love Tonight, Trust Him, Move on Me, Who’s Been Lovin You, MAN OF THEE HOUSE……OMG why is it so hard……oh yeah because I’m not use to this many hits on 1 CD! LOL!

  75. Terrell August 20, 2010

The album is great, will be picking up my copy on Aug 24th. To those saying they won’t get it because of recent events in Fantasia’s life, you stupid and immature. What the hell does who she is sleeping with have to do with this great album? It’s not your business to even know who she is sleeping with let alone hold it against her. so I don’t see how that BS takes away from this young woman’s talent. Besides, male artist cheat on their wives and girlfriends, go to jail for using and selling drugs, and some even don’t support their kids yet y’all fake asses still go by their albums. Calling women witches and burning them at the stake for the same sins men commit went out with the plaque. Misogyny is alive and well.

  76. hellifiknow August 23, 2010

    @Terrell….

I completely co-sign everything you wrote….So far what I’ve heard is GREAT…and I will support good music. If we judged artists by morals no one would be selling not even the gospel folks…

  77. Vada August 28, 2010

This Time around i think Fantasia came hard, Im so Lovin this lady ………….way back when she was on american idol, i told myself she was going to win and she did…….. Alot of people are judging her because of the tabloids and what ever but thats the real TRASH her talent is clear and is should be the main focus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
