The official remix of Kanye West’s ‘Power’ has finally been released. The track was produced by Swizz Beatz and features none other than Jay-Z. Give the track a listen below:
I must admit that while the prospect of a Jay-Z feature looks promising on paper, his appearance here didn’t do much to improve the track. Furthermore, Beatz changes in the production actually took away from the haunting yet exciting vibe of the original. Still, West’s verses were on point as usual.
Chances are this will be the version of the song that West will perform at the MTV VMA’s next month, that is if he doesn’t perform a new single instead.
