Estelle will never be an icon, and she isn’t as talented as people like to make out. Her singing is s***, she should stick to rapping and move back to London. Her older material is so much better than her new stuff. I don’t even like her any more, she lost me after she relocated to the states and dissed Adele.

I don’t know what your beef is with this woman, but I think she has a beautiful voice. That new song with her and John Legend is my current favorite song. It puts me in such a good mood. I don’t even know who Adele is, and you probably don’t know him/here, either.
You’re right about one thing, though: She will probably never be an icon here because people are too hung up on the superficial. I don’t care what a singer looks like (I don’t really think she looks bad, but most people will). All I care about is how their music and their voices sound. That’s what wrong with people now.

I used to love Estelle too, her raps were cool, then I saw an interview of hers where she got offended because she was compared to Lauryn Hill. She then said she liked Wycleff and that he had his head screwed on, i was done with her then.
I love Lauryn Hill and many other artists would take it as a compliment, after Estelle’s arrogance, i couldn’t be bothered to support her. Yes i know she is British as i am but i can’t stand arrogant people. Besides, her music has changed. Didn’t even know she dissed the white artists.
I love Estelle’s sound. Someone said something about how she looks. Well just like Stacey said looks don’t matter it’s the voice and their music. Also her looks is just fine to me.

Estelle didn’t diss Adele or any of the other Brit girls, she simply stated that white Brit female singers were getting co-signed much easier than Blacks. She never dissed the others she just stated a fact. I hope you don’t dispute the fact that Joss Stone, Adele, Duffy and Amy Winehouse had a much easier time getting acclaim & accolades in the states than she has.
