Pop diva Kelly Rowland took centre-stage at the NFL’s hotly anticipated (and widely watched) Giants vs Bears game a few moments ago to perform the US National Anthem (The Star Spangled Banner).
The Destiny’s Child star was suffering from a cold, prior to the performance, almost pulling out (with another Universal Motown act reportedly being on standby). She still soldiered on, however.

While shaky in parts (understandable given her condition), Rowland certainly held her own and really brought it towards the end. Good stuff.

It actually started off okay in the beginning, but when her register picked up, and she tried to reach those higher notes it was awful. Especially the ending. Terrible.

It should have been introducing Grammy award winning recording artist Kelly Rowland. The fact that she was called to sing speaks to her star power. Kelly is talented and can sing. This was a decent performance. The arrangement was not good tho.
Kelly was just in Atlanta and she seemed in perfect health, parading around in the clubs lol, she always seem nervous when she sing live, almost all her live performances are a NO, i starting to think she still isn’t used to being on her own.

Kelly did well locally except for the low note crack at the start which she quickly patched up, the arrangement is my liklely my least favourite, its kinda like a pop version but Kelly slayed with the vocals, she hit all the high note with comfort and control was pretty good.

Pitchy & all over the place BUT she stayed strong and did well in her condition of illness.
It wasn’t horrible as many people are commenting; it was actually very good. As for the last note on “brave”, she did a minor 3rd to the 4 chord progression, instead of the regular ending but you’d have to be a musician to understand what that means. Musically, it still made sense. Had she done it with background music, it would’ve been more apparent.
This was awesome to be real this showed a more confident and brave kelly who isn’t afraid to try new things(in sickness she did them runs)…and AMEN @ musician you spoke like a true proffesional…the ending wasn’t of key it was a combination of minors and she even covered her sickness that if y’all didn’t know she could sing stronger you wld rate it perfect.
