Despite the horrendous ticket sales and several canceled shows of her ‘Last Girl On Earth’ tour, Rihanna’s team made sure that she made a profit. The vocal joke (seen in a new promotional image above) reportedly earned a standard rate of $410k per show regardless of box office sales and 80% of all earnings exceeding $565k. These figures mean that Rihanna earns over $100k and $250k more than Justin Bieber and Drake respectively. {Source}
Clearly Rihanna is able to command such a payout because most of her shows receive substantial sponsorship as part of her many lucrative endorsements, thus the cost of those events are generally covered in advance. Furthermore, her label undoubtedly takes the remainder of the revenue as part of their possible 360 deal where they are entitled to part of all revenue generated from her record sales and concert box office profits.
Still, after the failure of her ‘Last Girl On Earth’ tour in the US, Rihanna’s contract will almost certainly be renegotiated to entail a considerably smaller payout. I highly doubt that her camp will take such changes lightly, however, because we all know that because of the little creative input adds to her music, she does not make a large sum of money from royalty payments (if she gets any at all) and her main source of income comes from concerts and endorsement deals.

THE REAL money comes from songs publishing right and writing credit… rihanna might earns 15 – 20% of royalty from her album n singles sales.. but u need 2 take note.. out of tht percents.. Producer gets 3% cuts.. which is cut her royalty to 12 -15&.. then again, she needs to pay for recording fees, promotion, music video (usually 50% recouped by Label).. yess she directed her own music videos… IT IS BECAUSE SHE PAID THEM’ … basically label pay NOTHING.. because all the money they invested will be PAID FULLY by RIHANNA.. and she will only gets her royalty after ALL THE THINGS MENTIONED are PAID.. What a minute…. how the hell is it true that she earned that much when she’s not on the FORBES list? Seriously? The List for most powerful women/entertainers popped up on my web yahoo browser yesterday and the first person I saw was Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga is worth 62 million dollars which is a ridiculous amount of money to make in 2 years! Beyonce was on there again with her 80 million she made over the year, but I too did not see Rihanna’s a**! Rihanna has been out longer than Lady Gaga and toured the country this year like Lady Gaga did, but has not came close to that amount.
I already knew that the record company was taking the majority of Rihanna;s money and that it was only her endorsements that helped paid for her albums because I read an article like a year and a half ago about Rihanna being broke, like worth only 20,000, but that’s crazy that she’s not stacking cash. And it’s crazy that she gets that much money for her weak shows. I can’t stand Rihanna, but I would admit if she had good shows and from all of the performances I’ve seen of her on either TV or you tube, they are nothing but boring, overly sexual, stiff, goofy, “performances” that have her do nothing but walk around/strut, and wear high fashion and provocative outfits. Who wants to see that? Lady Gaga’s performances are boring, her vocals are all over the place, and are unorganized, but at least she tries to dance, sings, and plays the piano. Rihanna does nothing!

The 360 Deal is an idea based on a record company taking a percentage of all revenue streams of an artist, such as tickets, merchandise and publishing.
360 deal allow labels to not only profit from the artist’s record sells but also from their shows and merchandise endorsements and ring-tone sales and also fan club fees. they basically get a percentage of all money that the artist makes.
