Christina Aguilera is trying to ensure that her ‘Burlesque’ project will be a success. The Pop diva visited the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ finale to perform ‘Show Me How You Burlesque’ with her troop of dancers. Peep her showing below:
While generally vocally impressive, it is blatantly obvious that Aguilera is not the type of performer that should simultaneously sing and dance. She has clearly gained a lot of weight in the recent months and her entire performance here (and on the American Music Awards) was quite sloppy.
Maybe next time Aguilera should let the dancers do what they are being paid to do and just focus on her singing. Just a thought.
Oh, she’s pregnant alright. Now there’s just no hiding it.
BTW, I thought the performance was good. Of course she can sing and dance at the same time (Back 2 Basics Tour anyone?), but it’s no secret that she’s been recently having difficulties with her vocal performances whether dancing OR standing still. Spare me that b*******.

She needs to rid herself of the mic: this performance was just wrong because it is musical theatre, and musical theatre is about perfection and repetition in perfection: what was the microphone all about? She couldn’t give the performance justice because she has not been trained theatrically, so it came over very shabby. I am a Christina fan and I know she has talent, but her pop roots really do show in this performance. She does look pregnant but if you are trained in musical theatre it does not matter if you have weight, you learn how to carry yourself. Christina’s weight changes all the time. I wish, in a way, she did go into musical theatre and get trained up the proper way because she has always been too good for pop, but she is too much of her own artist which is bad in theatre because you basically give yourself to the character and its own established art form.
It’s a possibility she may be pregnant because that’s a maternity dress.
Btw: What is so f****** wrong with this performance. I’m not just saying this because i’m an xtina stan but I think this is waay better than what she did with Express at the AMAs…even if i were an xtina hater i would’ve thought this was waay better than the AMAs performance.

Xtina fan here. Just saw the movie Burlesque and it was cute. If you like the Pussycat Dolls and Cher, you will like it. Now these tv performances leave a lot to be desired. She sounds great and looks horrible.
Yes, gaining weight IS A SIN in the pop music world. If she is going to be successful there, she needs to play the game fully. Her performances in the movie are an example of how powerful she can be as a pop star. These tv performances drain ALL of that and are lackluster.
Xtina is VERY talented and can have longevity but really has to pick a lane to re-establish herself and I don’t think this is it. Perhaps she should work with Alicia Keys again….
