Aside from a few sour notes and a couple unnecessary vocal runs, that was a respectable performance. It’s amazing what Hilson can do when she doesn’t let her backtrack do all of the work. Hopefully she sticks to that approach and never lip-syncs again (unless she has no choice).

I agree that this was a decent performance from Ms. Hilson. However, whomever credited her singing ability with the studip songs that she has done must know that a lot of pop Pretenders can hit a note once in the studio but most artists sing outside of there range and ability in the studio with those one time performances and then always #FAIL to be able to perform the song live that same way. In the studio you can sing one line and pause and edit together and get a perfect verse as oppose to live SINGING all the way thru. However, the fact remains that if you are a SINGER you should be able to SING and your recorded music should sound the same when you PERFORM if you are a PERFORMER!

Anywho, Keri sounded great! That was really beautiful! I knew she could sing, she just needs to choose songs that showcase her vocal range and stop over singing trying to prove that she can. WIth the right material and stage presence she can go far in the industry.
