Keri Hilson has been trying her best to prove her vocal ability in her most recent performances. On Thursday she decided to tackle ‘The Christmas Song’ at the lighting of the UNICEF Snowflake at the 5th Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York. Look below to see her rendition via Rap-Up TV:

Aside from a few sour notes and a couple unnecessary vocal runs, that was a respectable performance. It’s amazing what Hilson can do when she doesn’t let her backtrack do all of the work.  Hopefully she sticks to that approach and never lip-syncs again (unless she has no choice).
