Vocalist Leona Lewis has revealed that hitmaker David Guetta is to feature on her 3rd studio album.
Full story after the jump…
Speaking recently on UStream, Lewis confirmed the French DJ’s involvement with the project, revealing that she has completed a song for the LP with the ‘Commander’ producer for the LP.
As for when fans can expect the album, the follow-up to last year’s ‘Echo’, the X Factor star cited Summer 2011, cautiously adding that the project was in its “very early stages” and that she is currently experimenting with “different sounds”.

Here’s hoping the different “sound” she’s going for provides the right recipe; as after the Stateside disaster that was her last album, Ms. Lewis sure needs it to be.
While many pointed to poor label promotion, it’s important to not neglect the fact that ‘Echo’ was simply drier than toast. Boring and uninspired, on the merit of its material alone, the album’s performance (less than 200,000 sold to date in the US) mirrored its quality.
Still, hooking up with David Guetta this go round is a step in the right direction – and most importantly a step away from the Mariah Carey (early 90’s) clone she was being crafted into.
With Leona being blessed with a gift many could only dream of, she is a rarity in today’s over-processed industry. Hence it’d be great to see her matched with material which highlighted this, and which enables her to carve out a lane of her own.
