Soundz did his thing on this record. The bass is heavy and the song is a complete 180° from the original.
It was actually a very good idea to release this remixed version of the track because, unless you are a trained dancer or are willing to do an aerobic session in the club, the original is quite difficult to keep up with. Also, a mix like this should enjoy a lot more radio airplay. Wise decision.

i really like this and i find it so funny how her slower paced songs better than her more faster paced songs
@Tae Mid-tempos and Ballads(except power ballads) will always be her speciality. Those types of songs are good for people with prettier voices than most but less power. Her voice is soft enough to mesh well with the beat. She can do a good acapella as well. Ciara is a good singer she has a pretty voice it’s just she lacks the power to do strong uptempos so instead she sing-talks on them when she does them instead of just actually singing. Only uptempo of hers that really suited her voice was Get Up really.

Well it’s about damn time I hear something from her that didn’t make me turn it off halfway through the song! I swear I was just about done with her, mostly her delusional ass annoying stans having the nerve to talk slick about other artist (they know who they are) but this definitely sounds like the old CiCi. Not that other wanna be Kim Kardashian clone. *rolls eyes*
This version is 1000x better than the original. I guess she thought the original would appeal to a broader audience, but clearly it fell flat. The video was good, but the song just wasn’t all that. That “Speechless’ song is just garbage! Her vocals were horrible and I can’t believe she actually released that as a single! This remix might be her only shot since ‘Ride’ has since long peaked on the charts.
This will definitely do well on r&b radio then maybe people will actually be checking for her album cause until right now I think ‘Basic Instinct’ wasn’t really on anyone’s radar. Let’s see if this can make an impact on the charts.
