Breakout star Bruno Mars has seen the last 12 months bring him much in the way of critical and commercial success. Nominated for a whopping 7 awards at this year’s Grammy’s, the singer-songwriter’s debut album – ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ – has been a global smash.
Currently doing a promotional run here in the UK, Mars visited the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge this week to perform his #1 hit ‘Grenade’, as well as a stunning rendition of Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’.

That version of California Gurls made a thoroughly annoying song really quite beautiful!
His voice is great and I LOVE Grenade…but I bought his album and I am not impressed at all, apart from two other songs the album sucks.
I can’t deny the dude is mad talented though and I think those Grammy Awards are well deserved. Oh and I hated the California Gurls cover.

If Bruno Mars looked liked motherfucking Usher, Chris Brown, or Trey Songz, HE WOULD BE SO MUCH BIGGER! But since he is average looking, he doesn’t get as much support as he can. We all know it’s true.
With that said, if I was to “stan” for any male artist, it would be for Bruno Mars. I’ve been listening to him before “Nothin’ On You” and he deserves all success. I hope he releases “Count On Me” as his next single even though it’s OLD as heck. It would do well on the charts. Such a BRILLIANT VOCALIST and SONG WRITER. No motherfucking autotune or dance b******* beat. He better sweep at the Scammys!

Bruno is a great vocalist, but he is not the greatest male singer of this generation…just stop it…I guess whoever said that has never listened to rock, jazz, or other rnb artists.
