Jamie Foxx Performs On Leno

Published: Thursday 6th Jan 2011 by Sam

Jamie Foxx continued along the promotional trail for his latest LP ‘Best Night of My Life’, paying a visit to The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

No.

Granted Jamie is undeniably talented, something about his material this go round has just not been the one. A point reflected not only in the quality of the above-performed songs (especially the dire ‘Yup, That’s Me), yet also’ in the performance of the project’s three singles (did you even know he released that many?).

Still, with ‘Best Night of My Life’ having debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 with sales of  144,000 copies, Foxx clearly had enough initial interest in the project to garner contextually solid numbers. However, whether the LP will have any legs moving forward will be interesting to see. A peek at Hits Daily Double’s estimation of 33,000 for the album’s 2nd week leaves us nonethewiser. For, despite seeming like quite the drop, the album holds steady at #13 amidst an array of new and re-charting releases. We’ll be paying close attention to how this one unfolds…
