  5. TheBawse January 9, 2011

She’s mediocre and over hyped, Do It Like A Dude is a weak song.

    …Speaking ’bout the B**…

Idris Elba is currently on B** America (as I’m type this). He starred in a 6-episode-long mini-series: “Luther”.

Idris Elba is a FANTASTIC ACTOR…!!

    ..Just sayin’…..

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT…!!

  18. Scott January 9, 2011

Jessie J does not do it any better than Cherri V, Shystie, Mz Dynamite, Jazmine Sullivan, Janelle yet she is put on a pedastal, I wonder why.

  19. UKkingsman January 9, 2011

UK record labels are only interested in represented BLACK music as long as its fronted by a white face! simple.! Adele, Amy Winehouse, duffy, jessie j, Lily Allen, paloma faith, emma b, its fast becoming a joke!

  20. UKkingsman January 9, 2011

Katy B not emma B my bad! but you get my point!

  21. Anonymous January 9, 2011

UK stand up!!! You can tell she has been studying and listening tp RnB/Soul and Country music!! And a lot of Beyoncè and Pink!!! Gotta love her!! ^^^ the comment above: I get where your coming from, but where are you heading with this^^^^ Anywayz she is amazing, I give her props cuz its hard to find famous singers who actually have TALENT!!

  22. Matthew Charlery-Smith January 9, 2011

Very valid point UKKINGSMAN. I never really saw it like that. I used to comment that back in the day nearly all bands had the token Black member to appeal to RnB audiences. All Saints, Another Level, Blue but now women dominate the industry and you’re right, Black musicians aren’t anywhere to be seen.

Oh well, until we really get behind our own, (like set up a Motown) we’ll always be here. Berry Gordy saw the truth in your comment 50 years ago!

  23. F January 10, 2011

marvelouuuuuus! i love it you’re soooo talented!! im glade to see real artist with talent get famous not like a lot of gimmicks! i never desappointed on uk artists, they always have real talent come out like gorillaz, led zep, pink floyd, beattles, amy… so i don’t get it how they can support industry puppets like that femal generic wanna be original singer always singing “oh nah nah nah”!!!

  24. oralanthony January 10, 2011

    love her

  26. True Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Blue January 10, 2011

I really like her, she reminds me a lot of Pink.

BTW, does anyone else think that “Big White Room” sort of sounds like “Thinking of You” by Katy Perry?

  27. eva January 10, 2011

    @ True blue
Jessie wrote big white room when she was 17 started performing it on her youtube page in 2007..Perry wrote thinking of you in 2008 and released it 2009 so you do the math.

  28. True Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Blue January 10, 2011

^^^ I didn’t say anything about it being a ripoff of “Thinking of You”, I said it SOUNDS like “Thinking of You”. I do know that two songs can sound alike without the similarities being intentional.

  29. GangsterA January 10, 2011

shes amazing real talent who you are is such a great song

    I agree with @UKKINGSMAN
only allowing whites girls to release ‘urban’ music in the UK is a shame! yes Jessie is very talented but why is it OK for record labels to only push ‘urban’ sounding music as long as a white girl is fronting it? the Uk music industry makes me sick, racist wankers!
    lets see,
    Adele
    Amy winehouse
    Natasha beddingfield
    Katy B
    Lily Allen
    Duffy
    Jessie J
    Eliza doolittle
    Paloma Faith
the list goes on and on…….

  33. TIMMI January 10, 2011

    @SCOTT @UKKINGSMAN

Deep. Whilst I love Jessie J, you definitely gave me food for thought just then. Sad.

  34. ChEeRfUl CyNiC XD January 10, 2011

Best artist ive seen from the UK recently nearly everyone is shite at the moment

  35. Jade January 10, 2011

I agree with the other comments, the hype surrounding this girl is ridiculous. If this song was done by a black girl the video would only be on channel U (or whatever its called now). The UK music biz LOVES to flash these white girls in our faces doing RnB then alexandra burke is there doing some undernourished tunes about angels. Cher Lloyd is signed by Jay Z meanwhile rebecca will fade into obscurity despite being runner up and having the better voice. I’m over it, can’t be bothered to pretend that it’s cool. It’s effed up man.

  36. gabs January 10, 2011

Um. I think she has a great voice and is talented but I dont like the songs. “Do it like a dude” is weak. I dont think she pulls it off.She doesn’t have that star factor to me. Idk. She doesnt excite me. Im from the US btw. I would be so sad if she makes it mainstream in the us before Alexandra burke. Ive been waiting for alexandra to come over here for so long!
