What happened later? “RATED FLOP”. That album was so successful that Def Jam was selling it for 99 cents! LOL. “Rated Flop” was so succesful that Def Jam made her stop her flop tour to record a new album with a completly different image. They were worried that their puppet would lost the trash image they built up on “Good Goat Gone Flop”.

My ass that MOTS sold 2 million. First, it peaked pretty low everywhere. Second, it sold 500k (US) + 150k (UK) + 100k (Japan) and +100k (Canada). It sold less than 900k in the four biggest music market. Third, it didn’t chart in Australia, it almost didn’t chart in France and it didn’t make the top 30 in Germany. And there’s also the fact that she only had two singles and just one of them turned into a hit.
In the best day, it sold 1.5 million thus far. Or it was a smash hit in Zimbabwe and I didn’t know.

You’re mistaken, then. Since MOTS release in 2005, it’s sold about 620,000 copies in the US, 130,000 in Canada, 120,000 in the UK, and about 120,000 in Japan. That’s a total of about 1 million. The other million comes from the fact that the album sold decently (near 100k) in most European countries as well as New Zealand.

And in the rest of the Europe, it peaked pretty low (and in most of them didn’t chart). Besides UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, the rest of the music market in Europe is almost 0! New Zeland is also a bad market for music.
