Usher TV caught up with David Guetta backstage at one of Usher’s recent ‘OMG’ tour stops in the UK. The producer, who takes credit for creating the “bridge between Urban and Electronic music”, used the opportunity to speak about Usher’s upcoming “Revolutionary Pop” project.
Furthermore, Guetta claimed that the former R&B singer was actually the 1st artist to request to work with him, long before Kelly Rowland and the Black Eyed Peas. See the footage below:
Guetta must still have several problems with his English because Rowland regularly stated that she was the 1st Urban act to work with him. In fact, she even noted that she was the person who introduced Usher to the Urban/Dance products of her time in the studio with Guetta.
Furthermore, Guetta is quite bold in his claims that he started the movement between Urban and Electronic music. I might be mistaken but David Morales has been combining those genres since the early 1990s with his remixes.
