The first promotional shot for Mary J. Blige‘s ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues’ has surfaced. Set for release on September 20th, the album serves as the sequel to Blige’s 1994’s sophomore smash ‘My Life’.
‘The Journey Continues’ is preceded by current “warm up” single ‘Someone to Love Me (Naked)’, the video for which premiered this week.

I love everything Mary releases with the exception being that album between The Breakthrough and Stronger With Each Tear…I don’t even remember its name it was that bad. Mary and Bey are the only artists I am checking for at the moment.

She doesn’t deliver anymore. The album will NOT live up to the hype. Her last two or three albums were garbage by far… I really doubt the writing is half as good as what was on her my life album. I hope her and nicki collaborating is just a sick joke. But then again mary has been singing songs for 18 years for quite some now
^^^ I don’t know what y’all talking about the Growning Pains album was pure fire thats why it went platinum. Stronger with each tear was a horrible album which is why it only went gold. I hope she comes back hard. Not a fan of hers vocal wise. But Material wise she puts even new artist to shame. Mary always experiments with her sound and.

^ I agree, I love Growing Pains. When Stronger with Each Tear came out, it was a cute album but it could have been better. Contemporary R&B is what I love about her, not songs like Hood Love. She should have chosen better singles. But Mary can do no wrong unless you mention Love & Life, that album sucked.

I’m not in love with this pic, but I don’t hate it. Mary’s been pretty quiet lately and it’ll be interesting to see what she’s trying to do at this point in her career. I feel like I love every other Mary album (411, Share My world, No more Drama & Breakthrough… Stronger with each tear was okay). I’m not fond of some of those albums that people consider classics, but I hope that Mary J has a really tight ballad like “Not gonna cry” and some uptempo bangers like “Family Affair”. Those are my favorite Mary styles.
