R&B diva Kelly Rowland turned heads last night at the launch of Samsung’s Infuse 4G at Milk Studios, Hollywood.
The Destiny’s Child stunner is currently on a career high; with new single ‘Motivation’ on course to become her biggest US solo hit to date.
As at writing, the Lil’ Wayne assisted cut (the first to be lifted from her 3rd LP ‘Here I Am’), sits at #3 and #31 on the Billboard R&B and Hot 100 charts respectively.

Kelly looks beautiful. And, “Motivation” is my song! It’s nice to hear some R&B music again. Even though I do like some of the euro-pop and techno music out now, it gets a little monotonous hearing it over and over from so many artists. Kelly’s song stands out in a sea of people who are all pretty much doing the same type of music right now. It’s refreshing.

@QueenBey Will Alway…. It’s funny you should mention how she hasn’t promoted the song, yet the song is sitting at #3 on The Billboard R&B charts. And it’s sitting at #31 on the Hot 100 charts. For Kelly, that’s pretty good. And, it just goes to show you that if the song is good upon hearing it, you may not always need to promote it. The song spoke for itself. Therefore, it sold itself. No heavy promotion needed. People keep saying, “Beyonce hasn’t promoted her song.” But, the song did get some promotion. It was leaked, then it officially came out properly, it’s on YouTube, it’s on itunes, on the Billboard charts and it’s getting radio play. Now, considering that she’s the people’s “Queen”, as her devoted fans like to call her, it should have done extremely well with the exposure that it’s been getting. However, it seemed to have backfired. The bottom line is this, Beyonce’s song didn’t fizzle because of lack of promotion. The song fizzled because it’s just not good. Period. Kelly’s song did well because it’s a good song and it stands out from all of the other euro-pop, techno type of songs that are out right now. Will Kelly’s CD flop? We don’t know for sure, but she’s doing a hell of a good job thus far. And, I’m happy for her.
