Can’t denied how talented this lady is and how amazing her voice is. Just standing there and sanging, she’s amazing. I know this era for Mrs. Carter have the dummies hating because her music/sound has envolved and she’s not booty poping all over the stage and she’s not singing s**, whips, chains and being beating, but she is singing real feel good music for the mature yet classic fans. Her album is great and I do hope all her fans/stans and yes even the so call haters will support a great body of work of this album. @ Malibu Barbie – you’ve said it! … 10 years from now this “4” album will have new artist covering these songs. It’s a real album that has gone back to basics, but found a way to modernize that. It a refreshing break from all the current themes in music that people are starting to bore us with. I truly believe that if Bey would have made the typical, electro dance, sexed – up pop album it would have been trashed and people would just say she’s borrowing from the pop diva’s that has released music before her. Now that her sound has evolved and she’s experimented again (for the umpteenth time) with heartfelt, edgy, gritty music that dip into so many different genres (Rock, R&B, pop and etc) people are sick to their astomachs that she was able to produce this album. Bey is a true artist and she continues to prove that in each era.

The woman is like 30 years old. Do you all still expect her to be singing about freakum dresses? Relax and enjoy the damn songs. As someone said, 4 is the album an artist makes when she no longer has to prove that she’s a chart success. Beyonce doesn’t need another #1, and unlike Lady Gaga, doesn’t need to sell 1 million copies in a week (although she had major help from Amazon, but that’s another story). The album represents a good place in her life so far. The songs are mellow, the beats are understated, and her vocals take centre stage. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
