actually heard the full album. I’ll say I’m impressed with her efforts on this one. Now all I need is a little more consistency and a rerecord of 1+1 with “algebra” prounounced appropriately. My fav tracks so far are Countdown, End of Time (which really should have been the lead single), Miss You, Love on Top (another fav, she sounds great and just lively. Never really heard her like this), Party (fastly becoming a fav), I was here (takes me to that place so yeah it’s up there too). RTW really doesn’t belong on the album at all. Scared of Lonely would have been a great addition to this album because it really went to waste on Sasha Fierce. Other than that no real complaints from me. Her stans can rest easy!

Beyonce didn’t promote! If she would have trust me she would of been in the top 5 on the charts!!!! All of them artist that s on the charts except adele sells Albums instead of singles. Lady gaga only had actually 1 top song before she sold her album. Judas fell hard. We all know GaGa big week was through the .99 deal!! lets just be honest. Other artist on the charts are manufactured nstudio singers, which catchy singles, but guess what they couldn’t sell their album to save their life.
4 is a great album…it’s consistent and it’s an artist’s work…not someone trying to garner attention or CD sales or singles. She finally came on back home with her music, which took a bit of a left turn with I Am…Sasha Fierce. I don’t hold it against her for experimenting there, but in my opinion that was such an empty record, emotionally even though there were some gems like Scared of Lonely, Hello, and Broken Hearted Girl, but overall I get the feel that that album was made more for commercial status to cement as as Queen B in the record/chart books.
Now that she’s done that…I think she decided to try and begin paying homage to her musical roots and I think we’re going to see more albums like 4 from B cos she’s done showing and proving. She can now just B, lol!
Stand out tracks are 1+1, Love on Top and End of Time so I agree with @TrucieBedford. Another highly commendable and mentionable track is Party…maybe we all some old school heads or something cos these songs are on everyone’s top list!

No, sorry, that’s not gonna fly. HIAM went to #1 without a single live performance, and even Rihanna only performed WMN and Only Girl live in the US about once or twice. Beyonce had two huge live performances (Oprah, Bilboard Music Awards). Katy only performed ET live once on American Idol. That “she isn’t promo-ing” excuse is for the birds. The fanbase and the public just isn’t rallying behind RTWG.

calm down. Britney started doing live promo for FF, (a club performance, those talk shows and such), around the weekend before the album dropped. HIAM went to #1 in January. FF came out in March. HIAM went to #1 like a week after the single dropped, no promo. Beyonce hasn’t done any less live promo for her lead single than any of her contemporaries. Beyonce is a superstar. So I listened to the album. It’s a good, solid album. I think I like every track, except from Run The World. However, I feel that it lacks those instant “smash-hits”, so Bey will likely have some problems selling the album in the long run. I mean, we all know that she’ll sell 1 million WW in 2 weeks or something.
I feel like there aren’t any stand-out tracks on the album… Most of the songs are equally good, and that’s a good thing, but when listening to the whole album it seems kinda BLAAH.
Party > Love On Top > I Miss You > Countdown > I Was Here > 1+1 > Best Thing I Never Had > Start Over > I Care > Rather Die Young > Run The World
I wish she would push the album back to early September (Hell, I’d wait till December for Beyonce!), and that she would repack the album with more up-beat tracks. Yes, it is a good album, but I feel that there aren’t even ONE song there that would do well in both radio AND sales, the whole album contains of GOOD, SOLID album tracks. No single material. And we need more promotion. Hell, even Britney has promoted more than Bey this era.

7. Start Over – This is going to be the stand out track from the album. AMAZING!!!
8. Love on Top – Beyonce sings circles around the INDUSTRY. Beyocne takes it high as she possibly can!!
9. Countdown – OK! Nice upbeat song (from once a upbeat songs sound odd on a beyonce album – normally it is slow songs that sound odd)
10. End of Time – sister to RTW – bey trys something new that it pays off (Loves It)
11. I Was Here – YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS – if u thought bey couldnt sing before – u will become a believer! (beyonce shud be name the BODY/VOICE of the generation)
12. RTW – Loves it but didnt think i shud have been a lead single (too risky)

Wow, I love this cover but I like the original just as much. I feel like this project has been off to a rough start as far as buzz goes; especially considering her last 3 albums were practically shoved down our throats (I mean that in the nicest way possible). It’s weird thinking that it’s coming out in a little less than 3 weeks because I haven’t heard much about it, but now it leaked and the response is pretty mixed. At the end of the day, I will always support this woman because I admire her work ethic and her class. It’s so funny because she can never please everyone at the same time. Every time she releases an album people complain that the songs are too up-tempo or there aren’e enough ballads. From what I’ve been hearing about this album is that it kind of resembles “Dangerously In Love” and now people are complaining that there aren’t enough up-tempo’s. LOL you people are never satisfied. I know I will love it.

Britney has sold more albums, and is an Icon. Beyoncé is still figuring her swag out. . . . it is what it is.

People kill me! All of a sudden it’s not about chart positions anymore. The stans were the main ones talking about how Bey was going to “slay” on the charts and go straight to #1. All of a sudden everyone’s changing their tunes now. *side eye*. Everyone keeps bragging about how she’s the “King”, yet nobody is helping the “King” to get to #1 on the charts. The charts do matter, because it’s a prelude of things to come. It gives you somewhat of an idea of how well the album will do when it releases. So, don’t come with that b*******. I think people are changing their minds now because they realize that things didn’t happen the way the predicted it. So, now they want to water it down with, “Oh, well the charts don’t matter, as long as she puts out good music.” HELLO!!!!! That’s what we’ve been trying to tell you “stans” all along. Just let the woman do her music. Period. Stop predicting s***, because then when it doesn’t come true, people have to go and pick their faces up off of the floor.
When Lady Gaga isn’t ripping off Madonna, she is trying to recycle other artists’ work. “Edge of Glory,” with lyrics that sound like they were written by a loser of a 1st grade poetry contest, sounds strangely similar to Cher’s “Song for the Lonely” and Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You. Lady Gaga can wear meat dresses, Madonna outfits, lobster hats, and penis shoes all she likes. However, it won’t cover up for the fact that Born This Way is dead on arrival..

FINE, Britney Spears sold more albums than Beyonce, but that doesn’t mean Beyonce won’t have a spot in the history books. Because she will, she has become an icon. I really don’t see how anyone can hate Beyonce. Please, explain to me. I’m not being delusional, but I think that people hate Beyonce because she is so talented and has achieved so much at such an early age. Name one female artist today that can out-perform Beyonce on stage…
So, please, I am asking you, come with some GOOD reasons not to stan for Beyonce. And I am not asking for something that is based on your personal opinion, but more facts.
For instance, people don’t like Britney because:
1. Seems like she doesn’t give a s*** about her fans or her career
2. Cannot perform
3. She’s just a product. Hard to face reality, but that’s the bitter truth.

Well Britney stans can’t really come for Beyonce. True she has sold more albums and has the better sales but in my opinion as an artist a TRUE artist you have to have the talent. Sales won’t make up for the talent. Beyonce has it all….the sales and talent. Britney just has the sales.
And these days she ain’t too hot either….not music wise(except for the remix of Til The World Ends and Hold It Against Me…well kinda) and not sales wise…ask Jive they shipped a million copies of her album in the US expecting it to fly off the shelves but she has sold 540k so far. So what exactly do Britney stans have to talk about?
Anyways I’m waiting for the album to actually come out to listen to it and buy it. I always do that because listening to leaks takes the fun out of it for me sometimes lol. I know it will be good. I might end up listening to it though…I’m impatient.
Oh but let me also say sales nor Grammys can truly say how talented someone is. It doesn’t say how good an artist is or isn’t. So when Britney stans are throwing around sales and Bey stans are throwing around Grammy Awards remember at the end of the day it doesn’t matter. @Aaliyah – Exactly. Every artist “may” eventually have a “flop” through out their career. Even Michael Jackson’s CD, “Invincible” was considered a flop by the industry. This is what the “fans” and the “so called Haters” have been trying to tell the “stans” all along. But, they didn’t want to except the fact that this could actually apply to Beyonce as well. Now, you’re asking, “What does she have to prove?” She has alot to prove. The charts show how well the music is selling. If it’s not charted high, then it’s selling low or not selling that much. Therefore, the record company is losing money. This is why artists get dropped from their label. Because, when the artists don’t sell, they don’t recoup the money that the record company advance them to make the album. This is why their coming out with Deluxe Editions so soon, because the record company wants it to sell. So, when you’re saying that she has nothing to prove, I disagree. If that were the case, what would we need charts sales for? Obviously, they are put there for a reason. Record labels are not about loyalty, it’s about the bottom line. If you’re not pulling it in like you used to, they will drop you. No one is above that, not even Beyonce. While we should allow the woman to do her music, don’t get it twisted. In the end, the charts do matter. As I’ve said before, I think the stans are changing their tunes now because she’s not living up to the charts and the hype that they’ve created around her. Now, they want to say, “Oh, it doesn’t matter how she does on the charts, as long as she makes good music.” Try telling that to Columbia.

Her label will most likely keep her even though it flops, because they know that it is big money in her name. She can “afford” to have this flop album, just because her three eras prior to this one have become huge commercial successes.
