She can sing no doubt but she doesn’t have the voice for this song.
I love her upper register better than B”s but I don’t like the song in general. Tip can sang her but up. SHE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD PULL THIS OFF.
Let me clarify I don’t like the song 1+1 in general. Tips transitions from full voice to falsetto is effortless, and her tone is much clearer than B’s. She rocked this song. Both have great vocal chops

Beyonce…untalented vocalist…Chile you know that Beyonce does things with her vocals that other people wish they could. Attention seeking is a symptom most often found in neglected, sad and insecure individuals. You clearly are looking to rile up Beyonce fans but unfortunately for you any back and forth argument that you may manage to stir up between yourself and some of Beyonce’s fans will not hide or change the fact that you are in need of help. It’s very simple, if you have nothing nice to say, rather keep quiet.
As for Tifanny…she did good.
Addendum: The “new” lyrics and the instrumental do not go well together IMO. While she can sing, the song overall sounded very messy.

1+1 is one of Bey’s most boring songs (and before you hate, I love Beyonce). It’s not a bad song but it doesnt seem to go anywhere. And this version is just as plain. She should have covered a more interesting song, but she has a beautiful voice so well done.

Beyonce sounds a hot mess on 1+1. As a vocalist she is way too overrated. She stresses every single note and attempts to sound soulful but it just comes across as stiff and pretentious. This is how the song should be sung.
Beyonce is a great entertainer but just a mediocre vocalist. She’ll never be a vocalist like Whitney, Mariah, Barbara Streisand or Jennifer Hudson. Even Lady Gaga is a better vocalist than Beyonce.
Much better than beyonce’s version. Beyonce’s 1+1 makes me cringe.
This just goes to show how TALENTED Beyonce is! Tiffany sounds like any other singer out there…whereas Beyonce has so much passion and emotion in her voice she truly blessed the song. Tiffany you insulted ~Beyonce and all of her fans by completely wrecking this SONG!
I voted it’s okay. And I like 1+1. It’s not boring. People just don’t get passion in music. Beyonce delivered in that song. Tiffany did a nice rendition but I don’t think anyone can do it justice as bey did in the rehearsal room.

@Beyawnce – You said that so eloquently… and I totally agree! She IS talented, but way overrated…. and her lack of soul just makes her sound “effected” as the American Idol judges would say. Beyonce is an AWESOME entertainer, but if it was just her singing I was judging she would be about a 5 or 6 on a 10 scale. She can do runs, she can do a lot vocal tricks that other people can’t do, but she just can “sing” a song all the way through without sounding like she is trying…. and that is just the truth!
When will these people start singing their own songs lmfaoo and get themselves on the charts..

Eloquently? Really? Overrated in what terms? I don’t see critics (Rolling Stone) ranking her as one of their top vocalists even as they praise someone who clearly lacks vocal discipline. People seem to forget that Beyonce is a SINGER first and foremost. And to say that she can’t sing a song just to sing it shows that you have not listened to her at all. Check out her cover of “The Way We Were”.

Tiffany can sing. I love the cover that Beyonce did of Prince & King of Leon in her recent concert. I wish she was able to re-record the songs for herself to be release by her.

she did okay. im sorry but beyonces voice is FAR better on this song. and beyonces transition into headvoice was a lot more tasteful, sounded fuller, more resonant. i also loved the grit and passion that beyonce put into it. if you want to sit here and say that this version sounds better or that tiffany is a better vocalist, youre probably hate beyonce plain and simple. beyonces survivor era vocals >>>> tiffany’s vocals now.
