British newcomer Mike Hough has been drumming quite the buzz since stepping out on the music scene earlier this year.

Aged just 19, the Essex bred singer’s brand of Soul-Pop has caught the attention of many including BBC 1 Xtra, and more recently Global Music Publishing – where he signed a lucrative publishing deal last month. The move will see Hough join the likes of Corrine Baley Rae on the GMP roster as he records his debut album with some of the biggest names in music.

Though the LP isn’t due in stores until early next year, be ahead of the curve and get into this great talent. You’ll, no doubt, be seeing and hearing a lot more from him in the months and year coming!

UK Talent!!! Not what you fort it would be!!! I like it the fact he has a very current voice that would sell very well… and yet ppl like Kesha and Dev (the talking singers) are still more successful… having said that, he will go far, gotta a feeling

Good voice. I don’t like the song but he did good.

  10. MUSICMAN August 1, 2011

He sings very slutty… His tone is also horrible…

Rifting and adlibing all over the place does not mean you have an amazing voice… His voice rings in your ears and not in a good way.

He has a very soulful voice. From the interview, it sounds like he doesn’t want to focus on image, which is good. It means he’s not doing it for the fame, but wants to be a singer because of his passion for music. I loved it.

WOW! Stumbled across his cover of Cheryl Coles Fight For This Love a few years ago, good to see his hard work is paying off!! Got a good vibe about him!

Really f****** annoing tone, constantly riffing and losing the melody to songs, never liked him or his voice, stuck up b******. Also DEFINITELY gay.
