We’ve said it many a time, but life for Kelly Rowland post-Mathew Knowles really does seem to be getting better and better.
Indeed, on the heels of her chart topping success and recent endorsement deals, the 30 year old has reportedly signed on to star in her very own sitcom. On a major network, at that.

It’s indeed “Motivation” singer Kelly Rowland’s year. On the heels of a #1 single and hit album Here I Am, TheYBF.com has learned Ms. Rowland just nabbed a deal to star in her very own sitcom!
A major cable network just offered Kelly Rowland a deal to star in her own sitcom.
We’ve learned the deal was just put on paper yesterday, and the deal should be signed, sealed, and delivered within a few weeks.
She’ll begin filming the pilot episode of the yet-to-be named sitcom January 2012.
Kelly is sharpening her acting chops with her new role on the upcoming ensemble cast movie Think Like A Man. And she’s also starred in “Girlfriends” a few years ago and movies like Seat Filler, Mama I Want To Sing!, and Freddy vs. Jason.
While we can’t yet reveal which major cable network offered up this sitcom deal, let’s just say the network is no stranger to giving YBF chicks their shot at stardom.
Kelly also recently confirmed her tour will kick off this September. And Chris Brown & T-Pain will be joining her in the multi-city fun.

Should this prove true, it’ll be one hell of a coup for Ms. Kelly – whose recent fortunes have seen her land a role as a judge on the X Factor UK and score her biggest solo hit to date with ‘Motivation’.

I love Kelly, but honesly if she shines so much these days its because of X Factor Uk, she have a new image. Motivation was nice.. but if it comes so hard it because of all the marketing behind her. I know she have enough talent to become as much successful as Beyonce. She needs to sing from the heart and her future albums will become hits.

DON’T believe they hype! I JUST checked deadline and saw NOTHING ’bout this. Trust, if something WAS signed, even preliminary discussions, deadline would’ve had something on it…!! Honestly here in the U.S. no one know’s about UK Xfactor until she became a judge…. She is the reason why I know that UK Xfactor exist b4 I never heard of it! I hear it’s 1 of the biggest shows in the U.K.

I don’t know how to feel about that rumor. I do think that she is spreading herself a bit too thin if that is true. I don’t know how she would have the time to judge X Factor UK, “promote” her album and tour with Chris. While at the same time filming a US sitcom on a regular basis…it all sounds like a bit much to me. Not to mention the fact that she supposedly is going to release and promote a completely different “dance inspired” version of HIA to coincide with the UK TV show.
It’s either BET or VH1 that may have offered the pilot. Either way, I can see her doing a sitcom. As for people getting upset over negative comments, it’s only opinions. I think the exposing of the b****** whether accidental or not, aside from the overhype caused backlash overload. Especially here in the States. I like Kelly and even I am getting sick of shine this and shine that. Otherwise, she’s acted in Seat Filler amongst others. I actually see her in this lane more as far as sitcoms like Queen Latifah and Eve experienced with their shows. She may find this to be a more successful outlet than recording.

I LOVE Kelly, Ive been a DC stan since i was 9, and i’m so happy for her success but did anyone see her in freddy vs jason? she was barely in it and still managed to be awful. I really want her show to be great, lets hope she working with a really good acting coach xxxx
