Much to the of her ever loyal fans, Adele‘s latest LP ‘21‘ is once again the highest selling record in the world for another week.
With 212,000 units moved in the last week, she surpassed the sales figures scored by Amy Winehouse‘s ‘Back To Black‘ and Lady GaGa‘s ‘Born This Way‘.
All the chart information below…
With 12. 45 million copies sold to date, Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ is this weeks #2 and two spots below her is ‘Born This Way‘ by Lady GaGa which moved 106,000 in the last seven days.
At #5 is none other than Beyonce with ‘4‘ which this week saw sales of 90,000 units placing her ‘Frank’ also by Amy Winehouse, which sits at 7 with 62,000 units moved since last weeks charts were published.
On the singles front, Katy Perry‘s ‘Last Friday Night’ is this weeks #3 on the United World Chart, one chart position below her is ‘The Edge Of Glory‘ by GaGa.
At #5 is Maroon 5 with Christina Aguilera with their collaborative effort ‘Moves Like Jagger‘ and Rapper Nicki Minaj will be pleased to know that her single ‘Super Bass’ is #6, the single resides one chart spot above Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep‘ which moved 185,000 copies this week.

Sorry but beyonce never dominated WW charts this way, not even with Dangerously in love. And as much as Usher was a smash in 2004. I don´t think it can be compared to Adele´s WW domination. Usher was more in the USA. I can´t think about somebody in the 00´s. Probably Gaga´s The Fame and some others. For sure I know these kind of things from Whitney, Celine, Michael, Santana, Mariah and more

I think the question isnt why does Sam keep posting (especially since if it was Beyonce or Gaga there’d be less complaining ::side eye::) but why aren’t OTHER SINGERS impressing the music buying populace. I’ve said it before but some singers need to go back to the music because their current game plan has them straight at #’s 2, 3, 4 and dropping. They SHOULD have been able to over come Adele by now, Especially considering when her album was released but they aren’t resonating with the masses like they SHOULD be.

All of a sudden THEMAN wants to jump on the Adele bandwagon since Kelly is nowhere to be found on the countdown and he’s crazy enough to get mad because Beyonce fans are congratulating her for still being in the countdown. There are various levels of success–right now Adele is having a huge success, but Beyonce is still having a relative amount of success with Here I Am and it is worth congratulating her, but Kelly on the other hand is having minimal to no success and THEMAN obviously is having problems dealing. It’s called a countdown to number one not just a number one and no others. Everyone in the countdown is having some different level of success if not it would stop at number one and not list the others. When I congratulate Bey and Adele it’s because I’m happy for both of them at different levels. I’ve been appreciating Adele’s voice since I heard ‘Chasing Pavements’ and listened to the rest of ’19’ and completely loved songs like ‘Cold Shoulder’, ‘Melt My Heart To Stone’, etc. Her voice is soulful and unique. I use to tell co-workers about her but they had no idea who I was talking about so I made a couple of copies of her CD and gave them out. At that time I was already a huge Beyonce fan but I was beginning to really get into Adele’s music also. As for ’21’ although it’s even more successful and everyone knows who she is I don’t like as many songs on this one as ’19’ but I do love ‘He Won’t Go.’ The point I’m making is I am really happy for Adele now that she has made it because I appreciate her as an artist overall and can remember a time when I was trying to tell others how talented she is and now everyone sees. But I’m still bigger fan of Beyonce because she’s just a great all-around entertainer and although it would be great if she could be number one all the time, that’s unrealistic, but I am happy that she is enjoying some level of success. So like I said, CONGRATS TO BEY AND ADELE!
