Jennifer Hudson has seen herself in many-a-headline this week. Aside from announcing the 3rd single to be lifted from her sophomore album ‘I Remember Me’, the songstress has been receiving quite the reviews from her depiction of famed South African activist Winnie Mandela in the new biopic ‘Winnie’. The poster for the upcoming flick, seen above, was recently unveiled.

Why all the hate? I am glad she continue to gets acting roles and I will wait till this movie comes out to rate it. I would not rate a movie based on a poster. That is dumb. Also, Beyonce has nothing to do with this post so why are all the crazies comparing her to Jennifer Hudson.

I will see this biopic, it was played in Toronto Flim Fest and I heard good things about it, So I will check it out.

Ok you’re all ridiculous, an oscar doesnt certify u as an actress and i’lll give u 3 reasons KImberley Elise, Taraji P Henson and Viola Davis (to name a few at the top of my head)…
You’re all right and u’re all wrong. Beyonce can act, Jennifer Hudson can act but not even one of them comes close to the above 3 ladies in my book. I dont wanna take anything from them cause I love all both very much. But Fantasia can sing both of them into retirement but has only 1 grammy.
My point is that an award puts u up there amongst the best (Jen with her Oscar will automatically put her in a different league to Kim, Taraji and Viola but it in no way makes her a better actress)
Beyonce with her 16 grammy’s and most wins by a female in one night (puts her in line to be the grammy queen but it in no way means that she is a better singer than for example Fantasia or Mary)
IF she does win an oscar it’ll be cause she deserved it for that performance, not because her delusional stans predicted it. And if she never wins one that ok too, she doesnt need to win everything
Back to the topic at hand, I love Jennifer and I have no doubt she’ll carry this role like a pro but this is movie is a story like the poster says. The negativity against Jennifer Hudson here is strange. Jennifer was praised by both Variety and the Hollywood Reporter for her acting in Winnie! Unlike Beyonce, Jennifer is taking on a SERIOUS acting role with NO SINGING. Beyonce is not as good as actress that’s why Jennifer has the Oscar and Beyonce does not! Jennifer will show the world once again she is a very talented actress!
Brian B of course Winnie Mandela did NOT approve of the movie because she killed a fourteen year old boy in South Africa in the 1990s! This movie does NOT sugar coat Winnie’s life which I imagine she probably would want. The movie also explores Winnie’s adultery, her change from being Nelson’s loving wife to a radical militant. Winnie’s quest for power will also be examined in the movie. This movie is NOT some sugary biopic this movie tells the truth about Winnie Mandela the good and the bad.
