Watch: Ne-Yo Performs US National Anthem

Published: Monday 12th Sep 2011 by David

Check out R&B staple Ne-Yo treating fans at a football game yesterday to a performance of the US National Anthem.

Overlooked by former US Secretary of State Colin Powell, the ‘Irreplaceable‘ writer paid tribute to those who had lost their lives on 9/11 the best way he knew how, delivering a moving vocal for all in attendance.

Every since Ne-yo released “M***********”, I just don’t look at him in the same light. He fell off after “Year Of A Gentlemen”…

Haters, take a back seat–damn! Ne-Yo did a GREAT job and sounded as good as always. So what he didn’t come out and get all ghetto-fied like MOST black people feel like they have to do when singing the National Anthem… it just wasn’t that type of crowd! Give the man credit for remembering the lyrics (unlike SOME) and even being asked to sing at such an important game, on such an important day.

True fans are consistent, not just when an artist is at his/her peak. This man is a true artist, has done ALOT for music as a producer and songwriter and some of ya’ll b****** need to fall back. Ol’ jive turkey, judgemental asses (lol)! What have YOU done today???
